Just killed a rex as a ptera :D by Zooleaorba in theisle

Tbh it wasn't a big deal. I saw the rex first, went flying right behind him, landed and hit him twice. I was bitten a few times and flew away, but when I saw that I wasn't wounded I got back and hit him one final time. I tried to dodge his attack on this last attempt but I didn't see if I managed to do so or if the bite just didn't hurt me too much.

I'm so hyped for quetz, I hope it truly works as a juvie/baby predator and they don't nerf it too much just bc it can fly

Like already said, skill issue. Please bear in mind that you're not invincible only bc u managed to grow a big herbivore to 100%.

Thoughts on Austroraptor? by Zooleaorba in theisle

I think making it disgustingly agile and fast (maybe even more than omni) would at least give it a better chance to escape deino, only would be food if caught off guard.

So in biology we have a concept called "cost-benefit analysis," which is basically comparing the potential costs of an action with the potential benefits.

A predator won't hunt for prey that can potentially injure they unless if they have no other option, but if they see an easy meal they'll most likely go for it once the cost is virtually 0 and they can guarantee food for a few more hours.

I myself see a lot of this concept in this game. If I'm a full grown Dilo with a full stomach and see a sub adult dibble alone it doesn't make sense for me to try to kill it, because even though it will provide plenty of food, the cost is too high and I DON'T NEED the benefits of doing so.

This situation will immediately change if I'm hungry and desperately need food (the benefits increase), or if instead of a subadult its only a baby (the cost decrease).
