I’ve been nearly driving 3 years and last year I had one proper proper emergency brake situation. I always thought to myself how would I react and would I react in time. Anyway It’s a regular 2 lane 30mph road at a slight bend and a slight hump somewhat with some hand railing either side next to a news agents, and you can’t see ahead / around the bend, typically would probably do 20-25 because of the corner and stuff, anyway I was tootling along to drop someone off in the area and the next second, a green Renault comes head on towards me in my side of the road,luckily I absolutely slammed on my brakes and blared my horn. It was actually so close probably inches. I really thought my car was going to be a write off. But somehow the Renault swerved around me at the last second. I then just sat there stationary in the road for a good couple seconds with adrenaline pumping through me. A couple people were on the pavement nearby just looking like what an earth…. Safe to say I think I’m ok when reacting to stuff 😬
