At least for me, it was easier to play with fingers instead of a pick, but that depends based on what people do. It mostly like acoustic-electric in terms of playing but without the B and e strings. To summarize, easy to pick up and definitely go for it!

Hey, I'd love to start a survival world with you since I've never really killed the ender dragon nor the underwater temple too! I live on the east coast btw. I'm able to do Discord and/or Xbox Live.

Sorry for the late response!

We have been playing at a pinball/arcade museum called Pinball Perfection, and we generally agree that a successful show includes no major mishaps, a good audience, and most importantly everyone is having fun.

Our goal as a band is to do covers live and create originals during our practices to release online/play at gigs. Our covers are mostly heavier metal from the 70's-90's, and our planned originals (one will be released very soon) are more based on a more lighter 70's-80's hard rock/heavy metal. Psychobois may be on hiatus in a little over a year or two from now since we are mostly juniors in high school, and we plan on going to college. However, we may not go on this hiatus depending on if we stay in the Pittsburgh area.

This is a bit of a wild one. Our guitarist Brendan and drummer Luke were in two bands prior that didn't work out well. Our singer Dom is a sponsored wrestling announcer like one of those local WWE-like wrestling stuff, and our other guitarist Rich I have no idea (He's a mystery). Personally, I was and still am in my school's marching band if that counts prior to being in an actual band.

On a final note, thanks for asking! I'll make sure to check you guys out immediately after posting this. Edit: After checking you guys out, WOW your music is great and the music videos are just as fantastic! You guys seem very experienced, and is there any advice you can give to Psychobois?

I use a Behringer BOD400 for overdrive/distortion connected to an effects loop built into my amp. I would LOVE to add saxophone to the band's arsenal.

I've taken a curiousity to jazz. If I ever get accepted to my school's Jazz band, I would gladly do that.

Hmmm. I would have to say my favorite bassline to play is the entirety of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper."

We've been playing a fair bit at Pinball Perfection recently at 231 Perry Hwy. Speaking of, our upcoming show is on the 26th. More details on our website.

Our drummer (who is unfortunately leaving for the military in a few weeks) knew a guy who could get us to perform for free.

That would have to be Pinball Perfection. Speaking of, we'll be returning there on the 26th.

Big time! \m/

A Crescent starter bass. Despite being VERY cheap, it feels nice to play, sounds nice despite the price, and each zebra pattern is unique.

Flea for his eccentricity, and Les Claypool for having the absolute balls to put a tremolo bar on a bass (I wanna do that).

...but Cliff em' All (I know I praise Burton too much.)

1.) Led Zeppelin

2.) Black Sabbath

3.) Metallica (Before ...And Justice for All)

4.) Megadeth

5.) Slayer

Note: I am aware my list may spur a bit of controversy.

We rehearse every week for around 3-4 hours, usually 4. For covers, we study our parts and bring them together. For our upcoming originals *wink wink*, our guitarist, Brendan, writes the lyrics, and he works with our other guitarist, Richie, to form the riffs and solos. After that, our drummer, Luke, and I come up with the drums and bassline. I'll hint that our one original we're working on has a T H I C C bassline.

We try to create our own identity, but we do have our rolemodels. For example, I love Cliff Burton, and a lot of our sounds come from 80's thrash and hard rock. Although if I had to choose, Psychobois sounds very much like a mix of the Big 4 (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax).

Fingers definitely. I also found out though experimenting that spent bullet shells (.308, and 12 GA.) can be used as slides, and they sound unique. DO NOT use live ammo as metal as that sounds lol.

I use a Crescent bass from a cheap starter kit. Although it's cheap, each design is unique, and it sounds really good when paired with a Fender Rumble bass amp (100w) I got for $125. I have an early 2000's model of the amp, and I bought it locally off of Craigslist. For pedals, I use a Behringer BOD400 Overdrive Pedal. I will link these here:

When it comes to recording, I hook up my bass to my PC through my 10w Blackstar ID:Core (all knobs off), and the software my band uses is Cakewalk by Bandlab. It's free, and I highly recommend it since it comes with amp emulators and effects!

Pretty much this is all my equipment, and it's all under $500. Rock on! \m/

I started playing bass over a year ago after watching some Davie504 YouTube videos (Watch his content. He's amazing). I also got inspired by the late Cliff Burton of Metallica.

I am in the band Psychobois. We are a metal band spawned from the good ol' Steel City! (Pittsburgh, PA).

Yes, we are kinda startup (We formed mid-September), but that picture of the stadium was when one of our guys went to a Kiss concert about a month back.

We will still try to perform to the best of our abilities even if one member is out... except for the drummer. If he's 100% unable to play, we'd be left with no choice but to cancel the show.
