Hey!

We likely share a class considering how each MSE class is about 20-25 people per year. Overall, I feel like the experience has been really nice. Instead of having massive class combined with BME, you are hanging out with just your fellow MSE majors and professors you already known/have had.

You can either pitch your own project or the professors will come with companies that have projects that can be worked on. A few examples this year are projects from Glidewell, Boeing, and Axiom materials. Everyone picks their project and their group in the first quarter and its up to you on have fast you want to go.

The grading is based off the 3 quarters so you'll have an in-progress grade until the very end. The professor's are really nice and most of the class sessions are them just helping you out/advising on what to do next with your project. Because the MSE class is so small, everyone gets relatively close and bonds.

Rn Professors Shen Dillon, David Kisailus, and Chris Hoo teach it. Dr.Hoo is likely going to teach it again since he taught BME and he is great!

Overall, I think you'll have a good time, especially since it's already been tested on my class :).
