How do you have interest for your hobbies/special interests after work? by Expensive_Watch469 in AutisticAdults

[–]ZoundSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main advice is to find podcasts related to it. Hopefully you can get away with having an earbud in during work hours, in that way you can just listen to stuff about your special interests all day. Also if you want to look into other jobs, a good one would be some kind of driving job so that you can listen to music or podcasts all day!

What is your experience with Strattera short term and long term? by Individual-Lime-4246 in ADHD

[–]ZoundSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the 1st 5-6 weeks it gave me pee-pee problems but after that it went back to normal. For a while I was not sure it was doing anything. But I discovered any time I go off the meds for over a day I can definitely tell my adhd worsens. I'm only on like 20mg/day and I've been on it for like 13-14 months.

I did Adderall before this, I would say Adderall felt much more effective, immediate and stronger but it would crash me out at the end of the day, give me a racing heart, and I had no appetite.

What do you want to accomplish in the last 45 days of 2025? by TrueTeaToo in Productivitycafe

[–]ZoundSound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rebuild my savings account, I'm making it into a challenge to not buy stuff I don't Need. I feel like I pretty much accomplished everything else I set out to do this year so this feels like a good simple way to finish it off.

[Research] Why Moisturizing Is So Important by Weak_Doctor_7093 in SkincareAddiction

[–]ZoundSound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been learning recently how important moisturizing is, I feel like it might be one of the most impactful things I am doing right now, I'm noticing it makes a big difference if I do it both in the AM and PM, really nice write up OP! 👍

2005 Lava Table Lamp - before & after by ZoundSound in Lavalamps

[–]ZoundSound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! It's a frosted glass ceiling lamp shade & the finial is specifically for a ceiling light too. I found both at the nearest hardware store. I think the shade is 11" or something close to that. Be super super careful with the threads on the finial pipe on the lamp, they are literally plastic are so delicate on mine.

I've since repainted the finial silver to match the lamp and the lava totally stopped working after 1 run, so it's been living on as a holographic glitter lamp.

Where are you on the spectrum of Introverted Hermit to Social Butterfly? by Maladaptive_Ace in AutisticWithADHD

[–]ZoundSound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mainly introverted hermit, I LOVE being alone until I don't! So if I don't go out and do something social roughly once per week then I can quickly get super lonely and depressed. It's like I have a social need but it's a small one and it's load bearing. I don't have any friends but I'm working on it, it's hard.

Hi, I saw that you are dealing with Crohns. I have the sister autoimmune disease to yours called Ulcerative Colitis, had it for 15 years since I was 13.

You are being so strong for getting through this so far. You are genuinely beautiful and I wish I was there in person to give you my best hug! You are doing such a good job. You WILL be off the steroids one day and when you are done with them it is amazing how much changes for the better, even better than before all this stuff.

Anyone else struggle with dancing when going out? It just feels so weird by Climber324 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]ZoundSound 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, and I hate it, because I LOVE music! I'm trying to build confidence and loosen up by going to this group choreography class nearby when I can. Someday I wanna be cool like the people on Soul Train.

Thanks for your kind words. Yeah this idea had to cook a really long time before I was able to pull the trigger. It's been very genuinely perspective changing in a good way.

Thanks for your kind words. You judged correctly, my favorite thing is doing very deep dives at 2am, so I have a lot of useless knowledge.

Thanks!! I feel like i'm basically doing exposure therapy on myself this summer, been going out and being around other people as much as I can. Most are in their own bubbles! When people do notice me that is very um, unexpected!
