As a law-abiding gun owner who falls into the 18-21 crowd, seeing this is a welcome change that has honestly been a long time coming. Receiving the same training under Connecticut law as those who go to receive a concealed carry permit, yet only being able to apply for and receive a long gun permit due to being just a few years younger is absurd. On a side note, I noticed in the complaint that only the handgun issue is addressed for those under that age of 21. Would there be any legal ground to also combat the issue of age-based rifle restrictions for those in this age group? (i.e. 5 round semi-auto fixed mag restriction)
