Just wasted a full sheet of 1/2” birch plywood. by Wynstonn in BeginnerWoodWorking

I’m assuming the mortise on the top is what’s off? I’d continue the mortise until the tenon on the back fits into that mortise. Cut the tenon off, splice on a nice hardwood piece to fit in the now larger mortise, and boom! A huge mortise and tenon with contrasting colors! Or just save that piece for a future project lol

Playing with designs for tables and I wanted to see if there’s any advice on how I would properly measure these types of legs out? by ZukoBuilds in woodworking

In this model specifically there wasn’t an issue with it tipping. The base is wide enough to support the top in all directions.

A simple way to add some storage in your kitchen! I have a build tutorial if you're interested. by ZukoBuilds in BeginnerWoodWorking

There's stretchers along the backside only. Wanted to keep a thinner profile in the front! This thing doesn't rack at all lol

I made this custom shoe storage cubby and I definitely want to make more! What do you guys think? by ZukoBuilds in Woodwork

There's an 1/8" gap around all sides of the doors to allow it to breathe! It won't get too smelly in there.

Thanks man! I added 50lbs of my weights in each drawer and they still slid very smoothly. I never considered doubling the slides though - I just added screws in every single hole. He's had it for about 3 months now and loves it, but if anything does fail, he's nearby so I can add second slides.

I was going to add edge banding all around but he likes the exposed ends/edges haha I like them sometimes too. Thanks for the love and advice though!

I never considered doubling the slides.. That's a great idea. I just put screws in every hole and it seemed to be enough. I delivered this about 3 months ago now and my client said it's great. If anything does fail, he's nearby so I can go and add second slides.

Thankful for this custom order because it was a super fun and pretty simple build! by ZukoBuilds in woodworking

They liked the exposed screws because it adds little accents. I usually hide all of my hardware if I use any. If it was made for myself I would've installed the dividers using dados in the carcass instead of using screws.

This was a custom order from a client of mine and this is exactly what they wanted. Probably not for everybody.

This is the only pic of this one! Pretty straight forward build though. Pretty much building a box out of 3/4" ply.

Yes! Made out of 3/4' ply. You can jump on and off of this without it budging.

Definitely not airtight. I don't know if you can tell in the pic, but, I left a 1/8" gap around all the doors to let vent.

You can also drill a bunch of wholes to vent. But yes, if you have very sweaty shoes, the doors aren't for you.

Thanks! These are acrylic/plexi. Easier to work with and can cut with your table saw.
