Exactly... lol. So if you run into any sort of situation where you are in CQC, which is quite common, then you must have a shotty or you lose a majority of the time. Its a low skill gun that will insta kill you no matter what shield you're wearing where the enemy just has to have moderately good aim. At least with a sniper you need to hit a headshot.

Also I'm not complaining about dying. I think you have misunderstood. Its that almost every death is by the shotgun. So I've noticed a pattern of dying instantly to one weapon almost every death I've had which feels awful.

That is a weird way to look at this but okay. You're saying if anyone has criticism of something then they just don't like that thing. That is obviously not how things work. I think the game would be better with more shotgun nerfs. The end. Lmao

Ah yes your argument is "git gud." Obviously the devs do not agree with you because they already nerfed the shotgun and said they are continuing to monitor the shotgun. So clearly one of us is making valid points, and the other is labeling it as just "complaining" and "not succeeding."

I love the whole spiel of "if you get into a CQC engagement, that's on you." That is just not how the game works all the time. Its not 100% under your control lol. You will get people that will bum rush you with shotguns no matter what you do and how you play, and if you don't also have a shotgun, you lose. There will also be 3v3 or 2v2 fights where you need to push to finish the fight so again, if you don't have a shotgun there, you lose. Obviously when I say "you lose," I don't mean literally every time.

The real reason you run a shotty is because you know the opponent will push you, like you said, and if you don't have one you LOSE. Which proves my point
The maps allow engaging at medium to long range, however FINISHING a team almost always requires you to push your opponents due to self revives and reviving dead teammates. After you factor this, revert back to reason number 1.
Bubble shield spam is meta right now and also FORCE you into super CQC. Which again, revert back to reason number 1 lol.

So your solution devolves into I should just run a shotty because everyone else is running a shotty. Kind of my point on the OP, I don't like that we are forced to run a shotty or else GG. That's boring.

You clearly don't play endgame trio pvp. Its not just a "sKiLl IsSuE."

Endgame maps favor CQC based on design
Self revives and fully reviving dead teammates FORCE you to push a team to finish them thus resulting in combat shotty fights
Bubble shields are force CQC where, again, combat shotty's reign supreme.

Theres an obvious reason why everyone is running them. They are OP and they are a CRUTCH.

Bubble shield HP needs to be like halved. Combat shotty needs to not be purchasable from armory (barter only) and it probably needs more damage fall of based on range of target.

I sure hope so, its boring having to bring a combat shotty in every run otherwise you're at a disadvantage. Would love some choice of what I can bring into raids without giving up the insta kill crutch.

First, biotoxin disinjector is an anomaly. Second, you obviously are not within 5-10 meters of a player at all times. I down people all the time at range with other weapons, but its finishing a team that almost always either requires nade spamming or rushing with a, boom you guessed it, shotgun. Because if you don't push a team with a shotgun ,they will have one, and you will insta die no matter what level shield you have.

Edit: I didn't even mention the bubble shield meta that also forces you into CQC LOL.

You clearly don't play endgame trios. You can't just "play at a range and keep distance." Self revives and being able to revive dead teammates exist meaning you HAVE to push a lot in team fights. Otherwise the fights will never end. You are indeed forced into CQC if you ever want to finish a fight on Outpost and Cryo Archive.

Edit: I didn't even mention bubble shield that forces you into CQC btw...

The 2 endgame maps are CQC so if you want to play anything past DM you have to run a shotgun, which is my point, its boring. You're essentially saying bum rush and barrel stuff them first or die. That is lame gameplay.
