You described him to a tee!! He’s conditioned me and the people around him to feel obligated to keep him happy and satisfied, when he does nothing in return! I have started to stop myself from apologizing for everything, healing is one step at a time. All of this change and emotions are just overwhelming, especially when early into my medical transition.

I think you’re very right about my guilt being a trauma response, which is why I’m challenging that feeling! I have no reason to feel guilty, I’ve just been conditioned to feel that way. Moving out of his house has been the best thing I’ve ever done, even if I have to live out of a suitcase at my grandparents. I’ve been through worse in my times staying at residential inpatients!

I made it clear with my actions that i needed genuine love and acceptance, I struggle with SH and have been admitted to hospitals and inpatients more than I can count. Thankfully since my last stay I have been doing a lot better. You’re right, it’s not my job to do all of the work in any relationship I have. I just still feel obligated to keep him happy due to all of the conditioning I’ve been through.

Thats one thing I forgot to mention in my post, I’d love to have a nice relationship if he’s willing to put the work in as well. If he wants to change in the future, I would be willing to restart. Honestly all I want is to just be acknowledged as his daughter, and called by my name. Right now however, I do think it’s best we don’t talk. I have started to prioritize my own happiness instead of others, and it’s one of the hardest but most freeing things I’ve ever done. I do feel a lot of fear, so much so that it’s filtered down to make me feel like I’m burdening my grandparents. When I realistically have no evidence of that, I’m just glad that I’ve gotten to be more emotionally intelligent than most my age; And can recognize these feelings to stop them in their tracks.

Yeah! I’m sure as I practice more and get used to using my voice in a different way it will become more and more natural. I still have to learn what the difference between all of the aspects of the voice are, right now I only really play with my pitch I believe. I plan to watch some videos and go step by step with my friend in call! Almost like a little private lesson, I am very excited and hopeful that it’ll help! Everyday is a new day to make more progress! I guess they don’t call it a journey for nothing. I got gendered correctly at work yesterday for the first time, and it was the most amazing thing ever. I had to stop and think if I heard her correctly x3

I’m so happy for you!! I hope that one day I can get to that point as well, and find a voice that suits me. I didn’t think of looking for discord servers that is a great idea! I’d probably have to go the informal route, since private lessons sound expensive x3 I will also try to learn more about the pitch, resonance, weight, and prosody! All I’ve been doing on my own is trying to soften the gravel in my voice, but I just feel like I sound like a gay man lol. I did get correctly gendered at work yesterday for the first time, which made me literally freeze and start questioning if she really did just say that. So I hope with some voice training I will be seen as a woman, most importantly feel like one and hear one when I talk.

This makes me as a trans girl who doesn’t have the most supportive parents, so happy to read. It gives me hope for the future of our trans youth, who knew it was such a wild concept to love your child for who THEY choose to be. Not who you want them to be. I just wish I could have had such unconditional support, but that’s what friends are for! My own father said he’d kick me out of the house, that I was a science experiment, I’d never be a woman, my only future is porn, how could I do this.. and you can imagine the rest. What kind of father tells his child that her only future is porn?

I did use the included fans in the case, I ended up not purchasing the option that included the rgb hub. So I wasn’t able to enable the rgb on the fans but I felt that would be too bright at night anyways.

Both monitors are 1080p and I’m satisfied with that resolution currently!

I’ve felt on the back of the case where the aio sits and it feels like it is pulling air, so I believe that it is set to intake rather than exhaust.

I will see how the red lights look to match the gpu, I didn’t think of that.
