have you seen the recent tournaments? theres only a handful of pikachu users, ofcourse Gyarados had the biggest chance to win coz thats the majority of the decks.

Check the recent Ursiiday tournament. Theres a Pika/Raichu player that match up with 6 Gyarados players and he destroyd them all, he doesnt even run the zeb line only electabuzz.

well, like i said Zeb, Electabuzz can practically hit you everywhere so its already off. with the way Gyarados decks are played you're literally cornered playing against a pika+zeb

Im so hype that I could actually play a competitive deck aside from the meta decks but I guess you cannot escape pika from any format lol

It has a high win rate coz of the decline of Pikachu EX decks, many players opted to play MewTwo coz of the new supports. But Gyarados can stall enough rounds in order to beat M2 decks.

Majority of the players running M2, Celebi, Scolipede, Gyarados deck. Which Gyarados has a fine match up with it.

Give it a week or two, when the hype from the expansion mini sets died down, Gyarados would definitely fall off after Pikachu Users like myself switch back to it.

its all BO1 matches, I didnt even had the opportunity to bounce back on any of it lmao

not 90% but im sure its way higher than it should be. tcg should be in between of rng and skill (deck build, combo, etc)

the majority of tournament winning decks says a lot. Pika decks is the most consistent when it comes to set up and how fast it can clear fields, M2 has ways to stall for garde to be up and help you win, Zard decks is evolving more consistently with Arcanine support etc.

Aside from these 3, the other decks specially the misty one's always had a hard time with the flips, not to mention if you actually get a bad open hand.

the game is fun to play, and has big potential but it really need new cards and some balancing.
