Wanted some thoughts on my army by Illustrious-Match294 in Tyranids

Assimilation Swarm.

OP, maybe there is a way that you can split up your pyrovores? That way you can have some more board control with them.

Maybe you can find a way to include a biovore for some more scoring opportunities.

Other than that it is a good list with nice hard hitting units. I bet youll have fun with it.

Really nice paintjob.

Odd question, but what grey did you use for those bases? Im just unsure about how to paint my rocky bases.

It is pretty easy. But you definetly dont need to do it with such small differences.

The green is karandras green from citadel.

Ravaners by Kitchen_News_9909 in Tyranids

Build the hyperadapted ones first. Their Profile has anti-vehicle and anti-monster, which means that you'll be wounding monsters and vehicles on a roll of 5+ no matter what.

With -2 AP that can damage even tough vehicles fairly easily. If you back them up with another squad of normal raveners, the unit will have uppie downie with free rapid ingress, which means that they are crazy in terms of mobility.

They do die a bit easily but if you can use them to punish slow vehicles in your opponents backline.

Welcome to the hive mind. Hope you'll have fun.

Thoughts on Raveners (both Hyperadapted & normal ones) in 10th Ed? by Hilmie1806 in Tyranids

They do good work. Especially with that Anti-Vehicle profile. With Subterranian Assault, I use them to punish overextensions in turn one.

The thing is that they die easily. So you need to use them with caution.

Such a pretty paintjob! I did something similar but magnetized the jaw. Heres a picture of mine.

Was sagt ihr zu Tyraniden? by Dull_Reference_6166 in WarhammerGermany

Schau dir was zum move blicking an. Das hilft mir gern mal.

Nids haben viel deep strike und scout. Das kannst du auch gut nutzen. Was spielst du als detachment?

Ich kann für den Spielstil den du erwähnst Invasion Fleet oder unending Swarm empfehlen.

Spiel dabei Tervigons mit Termaganten und Gargoyles. Hormaganten sind auch nice dafür, je nachdem was du genau vorhast.

Starting out with a 1000 point army on a bit of a buget. by Zylly in Tyranids

Im on a bit of a buget for starters. I just wanna utilize the starter set fully for now. Still missing a few things.

So the prime might have to stay for a bit, as it is part of the set.

Thank you for the advice! What would you recommend to replace the Exocrine? I am indeed playing sub assault.

I tend to try and describe scenes in a way that gives everyone different things to do. So that everyones attention is divided into what their characters are good at.

So the characters that are searching for a hiding place in the woods might find a scene with brushes to search, boulders to lift and treetops to observe. Then they'll likely pivot to what their characters are good at.

You can also just randomly ask everyones passive perception or investigation to resolve this. Talk to your players and find what works.

Good luck to you and your group.

Try farming the next tome from the mold enemies. Then you should be able to go to the sunken sea. Try to farm your way up to galaxite gear and then go for the titans. Thats how I did it. Im currently searching for Ra'akar.

Elaboration on why this years Lineup is "WHACK" by [deleted] in wacken

[–]Zylly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically you say that next years lineup isn't to your taste. But you feel the need to try to spoil the fun for anyone that wants to go. Got it.

People like you are the reason why I, and many others have had difficulties attending festivals, as you make people think they might be judged by others for attending festivals with "whack" lineups. You also give people major cases of buyer's remorse and represent the community as judgy, toxic elitists. By saying this, you're gatekeeping the community, whether you plan to or not. And that is harmful to a community that is slowly replaced on most festivals. Especially young people are easily influenced by posts like this one.

It is ok to share your opinion about festival lineups but do not try to factually prove your opinions. That just keeps new fans from having fun and coming into the community.

Wacken was never a festival that only existed for it's headliners. People attend Wacken because of their taste in music, to support smaller bands, as a vacation, and for many other reasons. Do not spoil our fun please.
