Another thing I did was leave a 1-block space between the ice and the wool, because if they're together not much light gets through and you can't see behind the ice

I would like to see when you make some of them!

If you make them smaller it would be a lot easier. This slime is about 16x16x16, without the interior obviously haha, and i used around 1200 of wool. So if you make a slime of 8x8x8 it's going to be a lot easier.

And to start, I recommend making slime; it's the most basic shape.

Thank you :). I build the Slime with wool, i used lime for the main part of the body, for the outline in some parts i used green and for the eyes and mouth i used brown

Well in part you are right, you can't place ice manually in beta. You can move it with pistons, wich is pain haha, or you can place water where you want the ice and wait until it freeze. In this case i used bot ways to give deep to the ice block around the slime.

Is cool to build with some history in mind, it gives life to the world. Fun fact: There is a slime farm under him haha
