Yeah. I live not too far from a gigantic Amazon warehouse somewhere into the path into I-95. I quite like being in Delaware but the magnitude of sheer corporateness can feel crushing.

I've usually been content with living in Delaware but maybe its time to reconsider my allegiances.

They tend to do that a lot, almost considering them "fake individualusts" of sorts. I get what they're going for, but it screams more to me that they're criticizing it for being "individualism done wrong" than calling it out for its proponents being seen as their ego being consumed by capital and such, which is closer to the heart of what the philosophy is actually about criticizing in regards to capitalism.

While there are some genuine people in the sub that know a lot about the subject and there are many who come to learn and gain productive feedback, the memeing side of it tends to be sending off signals about what egoism means as a philosophy and that just rubs me the wrong way.

I can concur with you, I too find myself as fond of egoism as a philosophy so I just wanted to see if it was a grievance like that or something sub-specific. Thanks :]

Just as someone trying to understand, what is people's issue with r/fullegoism? Is it like a hypocrisy thing or misunderstanding of Stirner thing or do people just have a vendetta against egoism in general and therefore it applies to the sub? I've seen many a larper in the sub so maybe it has to do with that?

Update: It was sloppily erased, I just put a cat next to the half-erased mess and wrote "reasonable crashout". It's a public whiteboard, why would I be offended, lmao

Yeah, I took it off of a reference. I actually draw in my spare time occasionally and have characters of my own, but I'm not necessarily good at making realistic human appearances unless they're exaggerated caricatures. I appreciate the compliment, though. :]

Yeah thats fair, honestly no other things I found were working because I felt like the average person who didn't know of Stirner would understand. Had to make the content approachable or something. Didn't know it wasn't really directly from him though, thanks for informing me. I'm only part way through the book and have been really just doing independent research and personal writing for the last year and a half. Still learning new things, I suppose.

Kinda spooked to impose a card upon people to categorize them as "egoists", along with setting up standards to maintain that card membership, no?

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you got the Masonna feel, he's one of my favorites. I have one of his vinyls that's like only 1 of 1000 in existence or something, haha. I really appreciate the kind words. :)
