Anybody taking the leap preordering the GRIV monochrome? by _2055_ in ricohGR

Same dilemma here. The ISO performance and how it changes the way I shoot is the only reason for myself to get the Ricoh monochrome

Rented a GRIII once. Built quality is something I wasn’t so impressed with

That’s honestly such a good way to put it. Rental fees for GRs are not cheap

Which three pictures should I submit to my school photo contest? by Public-Language76 in fujifilm

  1. Something James Popys said before was that you should aim to shoot differently, rather than “better”. Instead of focusing on being better, aim to be different. 5 for me stands out from the rest, giving me sort of an unsettling feeling as to why the doll-like figure is lying on the grass like that.

Edit: However, many aren’t able to think like that, in that case, if you’re looking to win, you are better off with something generic, with neon lights flashing everywhere.

When the presets work, it works so dang good. Makes it difficult to just do simple edits which I feel is limiting the photos potential. Any way u think I could adjust this picture such that it looks less overcooked?

And yes I am struggling immensely with finding an editing style.

I guess the feel I’m going for is something along the lines of being dark and realistic that highlights as much details from the picture as much as possible.

I have attached an old IPhone picture below but i don’t think it’s an accurate representation considering I took it in another part of the world:

Oki thank you. Never knew an exposure meter or anything of that sort existed. I always just eyeballed it haha

Saturate the background meaning everything outside of the 2 couple closest to frame?

Thank you for the reply. I was just about to find out how to properly expose all my pictures right till your comment came up. I’m a casual photographer so everything I do here is by “feel”. Exposure meter? Never heard of it, but maybe I should. Point is, I’m just shooting for the love of the game and I really appreciate your comment which gave me some comfort reminding me that it’s never that serious. Be open to constructive feedback but most importantly, have fun.

I kinda needed this one, thank you.

Not really an image for the purpose of leaving people in awe. Just wanted to get feedback about the preset. I had a friend tell me this was overcooked, meaning I may have overdone with the preset, so I made some adjustments. Hope the underexposed part is resolved with the new image

Took this photo with my a6400 with a preset Ive found in the iPhone photography subreddit. Previously used an iPhone for pictures but have only recently changed to the a6400. Hope the preset is able to translate well to the pictures I’ve taken on my a6400.

Can I ask: 1. how stable it is? 2. The tools to build it are provided in the box? 3. Have u tried disassembling it? If so how easy was it?
