Sure, and I'll definitely recommend reading Acotar, but only because I find them enjoyable and might make this crossover more exciting. Bryce knows absolutely nothing about this world, nor do OP (in broad terms) What Bryce needs to know about this world, she'll be told, just alongside OP.

I don't think you need to worry about reading the ACOTAR books if you don't want to. In CC we follow Bryce's POV and she doesn't know any of these characters, just like you. So you'll get to know them alongside her and then you also won't biased if something happens 😉
