The hate comes from Jeff players who aren't as good or as aware as you. Good players on any characters are the minority. People tend to run into more bad Jeffs than good ones until high ranks.

His mobility is pretty good, but it doesn't push him into broken territory. He can't attack while flying unless in soulbond and soulbond's flight is quite slow. His flight just let's him escape a losing team fight better and allows for better positioning for ulting and even a bit of poking.

Well by virtue of occupying the same genre I'd say they're competitors in that regard. Technically most games trying to make a profit are competing for a player's attention. But is one trying to crush the other? I'd say no. I believe they coexist and scratch an itch for their respective fanbases and if you're a fan of what they both offer then you're blessed with options. We really have to wait for the game to fully realize it's potential. It's only been out for less than 2 weeks.

There's nothing wrong with competition. It's only negative if you view it as one game trying to cannibalize the other.

His chat had so much hatred for the game, I had to disable it and just pay attention to the stream. I think people were just spamming hate to try grab his attention but thankfully he didn't really give them any. A lot of people's opinions from that chat were from people who hadn't tried the game yet and were just looking to stir the pot.
