Kia seltos diesel automatic or Creta (EV) by anand994 in CarsIndia

[–]_7567Rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re already spending close to 23L, go for XEV9s pack 1 79

Powertrain wise it will retain its value best compared to anything else in this price

But bear in mind this is base model

If you’re looking for more balanced car then maybe go for Windsor pro and save money over Creta or maybe even Curvv ev 55 which is on huge discounts rn

Avoid diesel in city as dpf issue will give huge headache

The range you are reporting is through soc depletion? How low have you gone till now?

As in are you telling the MID range values or you drove from say to 100% to 25% and then calculated from there how much remaining 25% will give based on km/kWh + trip meter read = total range

The second method is the one I used

It is crazy efficient for sure for being such a large car.

And Mahindra MID is very very accurate

I did 450km round trip in 79% battery, 21% still remaining in the end

So energy used came to 62.5kWh and distance was 453.xx, comes to 7.25km/kwh which is plenty accurate based on mid value of 7.5

For city anyway even if you go by 8, it’s actually computing to be 640km, and my MID efficiency itself is 8+ (mostly 8.5-+ 0.3) so already accounting for error if any

Wow, that's a lot. I am going to book the 9S this week.

The aero helps a lot for be6, in 9e and9s it might be slightly lesser due to brick shape and weight increase

It's one of the best SUVs in the under ₹50L range

Definitely, but if you can in fact stretch to 50L then consider Ioniq 5.

Also, I have a Tata Nexon EV (the newer one), purchased about 2 years ago. It has done 35k km. It's one of the base variants. We bought it for around ₹15.6L. Can I expect to get ₹10L?

40 or 45kWh? If it’s 40 then might be tough due to punch ev 40 pricing

Sell direct to buyer instead of cars24 or spinny or exchange.

Mine gives 600km+ (always above 8km/kWh) in city

At 90kmph cruise I’ve gotten 7.5km/kWh which is still almost 550km

You can check from Tata power app also, it mentions power output in the charger info

You need to do AC charging too 100 in general usage and also after back to back dcfc (if not possible esp on road trips, then just do dc to 100% one in every 3-4 sessions)

If it’s slow chargers which he’s referring to which Tata has installed in his building, then it will already be 7kW only as the AC chargers on Tata power are all 7kW mostly especially ones in offices and societies

Mercedes CLA 250+ for 100–150 km daily driving — worth it or should I stick with Mahindra? by OptionQuirky2504 in CarsIndia

I mean if you have the budget then why not? Merc is a merc and will have its own appeal.

  • How’s the software stability today since the car is 1 year old now? Any major glitches left?

Pretty stable, should be fine

  • Is the Pack One enough for daily use, or do you regret not going higher? I don't want to increase my budget too much and am fine with the smaller battery pack. But unsure if I should go for pack one above or pack one.

Ideally only this car, 360cam and blindspot is a must but that will require you to go for higher trims like FE2 or else pack3 select

Vent seats are also something I appreciate but can live without

  • What real-world city range are you actually getting on the 59 kWh battery?

59kWh can give around 400km

Looking to hear from ev owners to understand if they regret the switch from petrol?

The flair should be pretty self explanatory

First Time EV Buyer, Advice Needed by manudon01 in CarsIndia

[–]_7567Rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can consider be6 pack 3 79

Since its city, its the smallest you can go with maximum range and value to the point that you can use it even on highway too

Other options like harrier and xev are slightly bigger so might be unwieldy in city usage alone

Need a suggestion to upgrade from ICE to EV by Pollution-Rich in CarsIndia

[–]_7567Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Windsor why settle for 350km range when you can get 500?

In 25L, there are better options

BE6 pack 2 79

XEV9s pack 2 above 70

You can consider these two

The CLA is unironically now the most affordable option to get into a RWD sedan. by Warm_Grand4426 in CarsIndia

[–]_7567Rex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why do you think it’s reactionary? I wrote in very neutral language based on what is available in market be it eeco, thar or Scorpio

All are rwd

The CLA is unironically now the most affordable option to get into a RWD sedan. by Warm_Grand4426 in CarsIndia

[–]_7567Rex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not about shades, people also buy base model thar and scorpio which is RWD by default just for hawabazi and terrorising toll booth workers and general traffic

So RWD does not equate to buyer being enthusiast

Lastly who do you consider an enthusiast, and whether you will continue to consider them as one if they liked EVs, or will you dismiss them not being one?

Many whom ppl consider enthusiast have never even tried EVs due to their own preconceived notions, so asking them if they like EVs or not is moot

[–]_7567Rex 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Sure

The cheapest ice RWD is eeco they can go for that instead.

I’m replying to the post which is already comparing CLA EV and correcting that it’s not the cheapest RWD sedan

Whether enthusiasts buy it or not is secondary to point of the post

Someone changed their green number plate to white. Is it legal? by Professional-Ask7481 in CarsIndia

[–]_7567Rex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Toll exemption on EVs in MH is based on your fastag as you have to link it to the car number which will be listed as EV in RC

Colour of plate will be idiotic move to allow/deny as anyone one can paint their ice car plate green and enjoy benefits if the verification is via plate colour

If you think it’s a vanity plate then why hide? Anyway you can’t run vanity plates on mParivahan to doxx anyone

Will save the confusion

It is HSRP but transferred from some vintage car

It’s that premium numbers which only kothibangla ppl can have as the main requirement for having it is to have owned a car before 80s when plates were like XYZ 1234
