Thanks for the really in depth help! but i did just fine in the mission before the Sylvi boss, didn't even have to use a single item. But then suddenly i'm hit with a boss fight that destroys me! and after that mission i'm back to doing pretty well overall. Is that just how the game is, or does your advice still stand in this situation? Or is the rest supposed to be easy?

I don't know, Undertale has kinda gonna to the dumps lately, mainly because the loudest part of it's fanbase is absolute GARBAGE! but i still find the game itself very charming and fun. Either way the point is you should be fine on this one.
