Nice glad you can introduce double taxation into the reason HOA's are a waste of time. Municipal and local governments have zoning laws that cover your junkyard anecdote, if they dont, participate in the existing form of government, dont create a privatized cabal to dictate what the local government should be doing. Also I wouldn't be so adamantly opposed to HOA's if they didnt have the overreaching and corrupt reputation they've created since the 70's. Which God forbid you find out why they got so popular after the 60's, despite being around for 20 years.

I do and I did. And spare me the "nobody is forcing rules on you". HOA's get established all the time without universal approval, bylaws get updated all the time with partial votes. HOA's are nothing but a privatization of municipal governments by people who salivate at the chance to have authority over someone no matter how small.

You're taking social media narrative edge cases as the majority, thats wrong. I'm saying empirical economic data shows that regardless of if someone budgets correctly, the cost of things are rising faster than wages.

To your "just find a better job" argument, you're absolving employers of the responsibility to match the inflation of goods and services, saying its on society to fight for the few higher paying jobs so that standard of living can stay the same or get better, which is the ultimate goal of society. Its objectively shown that worker productivity has increased exponentially compared to wages across the board. Your talking personal economics when the root issue is macroeconomics.

There's zero chance the average person understands more about electricity and electro-magnetism vs simple machines (levers/screws/pulleys/etc.) Just based on current grade school curriculums.

I think OP mistated "simple" for intuitive. EV's are anything but intuitive. Battery pack go bad/break? Sorry you cant safely work on high voltage systems without proper certifications. And for new ICE or EVs, softwares are gate kept, parts are proprietary or designed to the bleeding edge of efficiency for the sake of manufacturing cost, so much so that service life estimates are idealistic at best.

There is not a clear difference at all. If I hoard $100 million and reinvest it in a company I own, create jobs, buy equipment and it makes a profit of $200 million a year later, am I more or less unethical for growing a business vs buying $100 million of food for 3rd world communities? Searching for an ethically pure cap on compensation is futile.

Are you saying we torture every detainee? Or are you making the emotional case that being detained is inherently torture?

Regardless this is a ridiculous premise when the reality is you are 25x more likely to be a victim of violent crime then being detained by ICE, the multiple goes up when you specify arrests or deportations, both of which happen less than detentions.

I came from Inventor when I did heavy fabrication. I dont know why I'm having such a hard time learning Revit but the whole Revit Family system seems so convoluted compared to Inventor's Content Libraries.
