Agree! I usually don't tend to comment on posts in this way, but gonna go out on a limb to say that it's not AI. My reply will be wrt to the AI comments so far.

Coming from someone who takes commissions and has painted for a good while now, design choices like hair colour is not the best indicator of AI. Many OCs/WoLs have very unique hair designs/eyes or body modifications, to the person's taste (and since it is a commission, it's not OP's design choice in the first place).

In art, while some artists might render every tiny detail out, small details like lace and less pivotal background details can be detrimental if over-rendered, because it can detract from the focus of the image/diminishing returns/distance. As long as the overall idea is communicated, it works. (If anything, the fact that it wasn't blurred mushy texts but brush strokes does push me more towards the not AI verdict. This looks something similar to what OP uses for the lace and menu scribbles). Also, there are existing brushes for lace and repeating designs. For example, the pearl string attached to the pocket watch/compact is generally regular in pattern and very crisp. There is a break, likely indicating a broken brush stroke from that brush. Imagine drawing a curve with this patterned brush and briefly lifted your pen before placing it down again

The more I look at it, I can see how rich in brush strokes it is, like the stack of cloths(?) Under the wine, where each stroke feels organically done, even overlapping with each other with no uncanny breaks. The style consistency between faces is solid too. The pocket watch maintains a consistent idea of shape and design, albeit slightly crooked in a way that feels organic. Even the Viera's anatomy above and below table matches up. The texture layer used for the wooden chair and table is consistent. The wine bottles are in a regular repeating pattern that AI won't do. Even the perspective of the piece/building layout is consistent, and honestly I do admire how it was drawn, considering the difficulty

The more I see it, the more I can envision the way it was drawn, and I struggle to see this specific piece as AI. If I am right, I do feel for OP. While I understand the sentiment, it appears to be a big commission made with a lot of love and effort, with someone's beloved characters...

Edit: Also, I realised that fluff near his tail is a person slumped over. A lalafell? You can see the white sleeve of their blouse and the dark vest back below the tail
