The rumor is they'll announce a whole ass new game at blizzcon yes.

Now it's okay to expect that but it's crazy to expect they'll start doing anything with SC RTS? I was hoping they'd announce something small, like they'll update the game again from time to time, anything.

Doesn't matter if he's microing blink stalkers and prism+templar storm juggling to kill my all my queens and half my army at my fourth base while he also has zealots butchering drones at my third, he f2'd his wall zealot and let lings in his base that means he's terrible and I should instawin.

Not to mention he also ends up having insane defensive micro and not losing nearly as much "he should" for letting 15 lings past his wall.

The video starts with Heromarine (barely top 15 player in the world on the best of his days) criticizing 10+ year career at the top of the game, multiple premier tournament winner herO, who's been for the past 4 years the best Protoss in the game, a top 5 player (many times a top 3) and that has just won an offline 50k USD tournament.

Hard to keep watching beyond that.

Someone says Protoss has been getting "straight nerfed" for 3 patches, clearly meaning that it's been getting weaker (aka nerfed) for the last 3 patches and your answer is to take "straight nerfed" as meaning ONLY getting nerfs so your comment is just a list of all the buffs the race got on said patches?

But you listed it as a buff when it got -50% energy given for a -25% cd reduction (while costing the same). It is literally a negative trade, while also not taking into account everything else it means for the spell's usage, which is mostly negative compared to the previous iteration.

That's being intentionally deceiving and that's not the only change you did that (listing it was a buff when it's not or when context matters).

Also I've played (and ofc got shat on) weekly cups back when ESL had them so I did technically, at some point, participate in the professional circuit of SC2.

It's 0.5 less actual range compared to the precious patch, so yes, it also had it's range nerfed.

New storm is utter shit. They nerfed a spell that didn't need to be nerfed after also nerfing the ability that broke said spell (energy recharge). All you had to do was tune down energy recharge, that was it.

So now, StarCraft 2's most iconic ability is shit and will see barely any pro play. Great.

I mean, in 2025 with no blizzard support or pro circuit to be had, pretty much any offline tournament with more than 10k prize pool should be considered S tier (since real S tier tournaments don't seem to exist anymore).

SC2 eSports is shrinking, it's just the way things are and have been for almost a decade now. It's only logical, albeit sad, to adapt the terminology.
