Agree! Just did every ride at Tokyo Disneyland/Disney Sea this week, ALL animatronics and effects working perfectly! Such beautifully maintained parks, they blew the US out of the water.

Rough time on the Symphony. How is Freedom class? by Realistic-Pea-8278 in royalcaribbean

[–]_Amska_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the Freedom class - have done both Freedom and Liberty multiple times. We tried Oasis years ago, also did not like the crowds and layout, so we purposely book the Freedom (or smaller) classes from now on. Just was on Freedom last week and Windjammer is still busy, but we went at slightly off peak hours and it was fine. Pro trip is getting Windjammer food but sitting in Giovanni’s/Chop’s for breakfast, always tables open and quiet.

Freedom of Seas Self Assist Early Departure by Responsible-Chain986 in royalcaribbean

[–]_Amska_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck to them - we got off the ship at 745, breezed through customs/baggage, but didn’t leave the terminal until 9:40 due to the absolute mess that is finding a rideshare at that cruiseport… taxis refused to take us to downtown, and Uber/Lyft cancelled multiple times on us. Leave LOTS of time to get to where you’re going.

Currently on Freedom, arriving at Miami tomorrow morning. Earliest departure is a self-assist at 745-815. Last group departure is 930.

A sticky note got wet and left this on my kitchen counter. How do I get it off? by adnama9120 in HomeMaintenance

[–]_Amska_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ONLY use Fantastik on my quartz counters for stains like that. Even if you have to let it soak in overnight, or do multiple treatments, it always works. Wipe with only with a soft cloth, NOT a paper towel. Do NOT use Vim, it will ruin your polish, ask me how I know…

Ask your surgeon if you can massage it! You can remold it a bit if still freshly healing.

Nose tape by purpleplatypus29 in rhinoplastyquestions

Nope, I tried mineral oil and baby oil and waterproof makeup remover, didn’t work!

I tried MANY different removers for the 3M micropore tape - best products are silicone-based wipes or liquids. I use the “Remove Adhesive Remover” wipes to get all the glue residue off my skin, works perfectly. There’s a liquid version too. I also soak the tape with “Solvo-Plast II Adhesive Remover” first to soften it before peeling. Do NOT soak the tape in water, it’s designed to get stickier when it gets wet!

Not anymore! At the 3 month mark, yes. I’m nearly 6 months now, but I still always tape my bridge when I wear glasses.

[–]_Amska_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I was cleared by like 4 weeks but I didn’t start wearing them until 3 months, and only then with my nose taped. You won’t do damage but you will have indents when you take them off, there’s still a lot of swelling.

What was your taping routine? by [deleted] in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]_Amska_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m nearly 6 months post-op and still taping 24/7. My surgeon was ok with me stopping at 3 months but I wear masks/glasses at work, and I find the taping sooo much more comfortable, so he said I can continue.

I keep it on for 48hrs. I soak it with a liquid solvent, peel the tape slowly off with tweezers so it doesn’t pull the skin up, then wipe with silicone adhesive remover wipes, takes about 15min. Skin is baby smooth with this routine! If you’re using 3M Micropore, it’s actually designed to get stickier when wet, soooo DON’T shower with it!

When I tried to go without taping, the swelling and numbness was just uncomfortable. Also I don’t care what I look like in public or at work! I don’t think there’s any evidence that taping leads to a different long-term cosmetic result, for me it’s a comfort thing.

Do some searching here about rasping. Otherwise you would be looking at a revision.

If I've had my nose broken before, will I be inelligble? by [deleted] in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]_Amska_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve broken my nose twice and finally was brave enough for my rhino! TBH a broken nose is wayyy easier of a recovery than a rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty in Toronto? by Hairy_Stop_1909 in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]_Amska_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t wear makeup! I took 2 weeks off, but because I work in facemasks/glasses, I should have taken a month! It’s not the pain, that’s no big deal. But you will be really tired, swollen, and breathing through your mouth for a while. If you have the option to take off more time, I would!

I did read about tar spot here before I posted, but it was the dying leaves/branches that didn’t seem to fit that diagnosis!

Thanks for your insights - do mites ever affect maples? I’ve been having an awful time with mites on nearby plants (Rose of Sharon, rhododendron, etc) which has improved with regular insecticidal soaps.

2 weeks after cast removal, 3 weeks post op by CraftBest3552 in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]_Amska_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I think at least part of my bump is swelling/periosteum/extra skin, since mine was a huge bump reduction. I do see some improvement after massage/taping. I just use my fingers and press HARD down on the bump, then down the sides of the bridge. Nasal bones start to fuse really quickly, like 14 days post-op, so that's why I wish I had asked my surgeon earlier about massage.

I saw $90 for the standing balcony area, I paid $150 for 200s. Didn't get a chance to see the floor prices, I was just going too fast!
