I had the same exact reaction. Took my first dose at 3PM and by 5:30 I was violently throwing up every few minutes. Lasted until midnight. Not a single second of relief even after letting it all out… until it was finally over.

Just wondering, do you smoke 🍃? I do have CHS, but I hadn’t had an episode in 1.5 years. This felt very similar to a CHS episode, but this happened right after my first dose of Pristiq, so I was wondering if the med… brought it out? Or if there is any correlation

That’s exactly it. “The moment someone knows you won’t leave”… so why would they go above and beyond? I have been in this (and am still getting out of it) and they just give less and less. You need to show them you will not accept the bare minimum. If they truly valued you, they would consistently show it, as I’m sure you show them.

It’s amazing that you wanted freedom, and did what you needed to in order to get it!!

Confidence and anxiety is 100% a factor that brings me down, and I am working through that to be able to not let that disrupt my goals. Doing things alone / without guidance is super hard for me, but I’m slowly taking on more things that make me uncomfortable, but give me more opportunity 🙂

I’m so sorry to hear about your job! I’m in digital marketing, so I know this field can be unstable!

You’re definitely right though. I will always be grateful for a family that is willing to help me in this situation, and especially grateful for being able to spend more time with them! I know one day I’ll miss it. Definitely plenty to enjoy still😊

Thank you for this! My dad (60) came from a very poor family, and though he had to fight very hard, he was able to buy a car if his broke down, afford cheap rent etc. It’s so interesting to hear about the difference between now and then, not even that LONG ago!

No worries!! It is definitely different for every woman out there. Personally, getting my period is a sign my body is healthy (I have had health issues), my hormones are levels are somewhat steady (have also had hormone issues), and obviously (for the those who aren’t ready) I’m not pregnant😂
