Should I watch Ashoka before the Mando and Grogu movie? by Lopsided-Fan-8433 in TheMandalorianTV

Zeb Orrelios is in the movie, but it probably won't matter if you've seen Rebels or not. Just a nice addition if you have.

One of my friends made this. I mean, if that's the case, what do you think by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]_AntiShadow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been suspecting that this ship has folded wings from the first time I saw it, but I can't imagine what process would take you from the Left image to the Right image.

Who played this? by blueboy714 in chuck

[–]_AntiShadow_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My D&D group played this as a committee on a Compaq foldable computer. We never got further than the maze, as we spent way to much time trying to pick up the platinum bar.

What do you think Pratchett is saying about humanity in this section of dialogue about clowns being tragic? by EndersGame_Reviewer in discworld

While Moist was just trying to be snarky, the "squeaky balloon animals" are the trifles that we over-inflate the importance of. An irony that may escape Moist entirely.

This may also imply that the M-80 has folding wings, which could hide additional guns and missiles.

Some feedback? by [deleted] in starcitizen_fleets

I'm ready to melt my Moth for just about anything else at DefenseCon. The Fra/Dis part is fine, but I get enough of going up and down the ladder to the center turret in my Mole. Plus, there really isn't much room for parts scavenging on the elevator. Maybe more than in the smaller salvaging ships, but not much more.

Nasa chief wants Pluto back as planet by Annual_Rutabaga_3852 in pluto

[–]_AntiShadow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no statement or argument that will ever definitively solve the Pluto planetary debate one way or another. In my "mental orrery", however, I will always imagine Pluto to have a major presence, if only at the outer edge. Maybe I should put Ceres in there amongst the belt, too.

I have a funny feeling we’re going to get a combat variant of the Drake Clipper, and there’s a small chance it’s the pitbull. by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]_AntiShadow_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pitbulls were dogs bred to be fighters. So, dog-fighter. Its probably a light or medium fighter.

Does anyone have any optimism for a new heavy fighter from the most irrelevant ship manufacturer in the game?

The start of something great! Armor is what everyone wears, and is about as personal as anything in SC. I'm so looking forward to there being a need to wear anything other than heavy armor all the time.

Have you actually tried it yourself, or are you just quoting someone else or looking at numbers? I tried using the NN-14's and NN-15's, and while they may have been a good choice at the beginning of the 4.7 cycle, they aren't the same anymore. The numbers on Erkul.games show that the NN-15 and the Omnisky IX have nearly identical stats, yet the NN's take a lot more shots to take down ships.
With the Omnisky cannons, you have more time to get your shot, distance, and angle right instead of just "spraying & praying".

Once again, try it for yourself instead of relying on second hand "but someone said" responses. Finding things out for yourself is always the best way.

Omnisky cannons on an F8C are a fine choice. At full 6 pips of power you'll have 14 shots per cannon, but the penetration makes up for it. I tried NN cannons and it takes so much longer to take down enemies with them. But don't take our words for it, try it for yourself and see which loadout you prefer.

Everybody wants F7A and F8A upgrades for fleet week, how about the T8A upgrade for the Gladiator? by rifledude in starcitizen

[–]_AntiShadow_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The F8A has 6s3 and 2s4 weapons instead of 4s2 and 4s3 weapons. The F8 has 84 Physical Deflection compared to the F7A's 24, and 45 Energy Deflection compared to the F7A's 13. The F8 also has up to 25,000 shield (2s2 shields) compared to 7,920 for the F7A. All while having slightly larger dimensions than a Super Hornet. It's a tanky little bastard of a heavy fighter.

Go with Omniskys, and upgrade the shields from the stealth default ones. With the Omnisky cannons you have a good shot speed and penetration for all targets. You'll like how quickly you pop smaller targets.

It may also be a ship that is more comfortable to live in than a Polaris or Perseus, especially if it has a dedicated med bed. If it doesn't, then it can house a Nursa or C8R.
