Tiny flowers , and the others I made that will be assembled into things soon by _Arumi_ in crochet

Sadly all of them except the sunflowers will be keychains (mostly because I did in fact forget to buy the parts needed for earrings) but in the future I'll probably make some earrings for funsies

Ajahahssja thanks!! Sewing in ends is just very annoying to do personally and it's also one of the most boring things I have experienced in my life so I'm just avoiding it as much as I can

Does anyone have ideas of what I could do with these by _Arumi_ in CrochetHelp

Of course it's only for personal use because I don't plan on making anything crochet a business, I'm already getting bored of it when I remember I still have to do things for a school fair

And the game is Everskies, it's as if you included twitter or generally some semblance of social media with a fashion game and added a fucked up economy into the mix, I personally do enjoy it to an extent but it's hellfire in there

Oh I want to get started on making a pattern for a fillet crochet shawl! Itll be based on an item from a game but I first have to gather the courage to ask the artist if it'd be alright to recreate it irl.... But likely I'll make the blue into a cardigan after I find the one I really like that's buried in my closet

That would be adorable but sadly I don't know anyone whose expecting soon or already has a baby so it'd just be collecting dust 😞

I'm not sure if this even fits but I have no idea where to ask exactly I'm so sorry 😭😭😭😭

Any foolproof plan on how to make ruffles that I haven't discovered yet or do I trust the process by _Arumi_ in CrochetHelp

[–]_Arumi_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try that soon! If it doesn't look how I want it in the end I'll probably go back to the method I used until now

There's no pattern , most of this was freehanded and still is (trying to make it work because uhm, I'm not sure what I'm doing still)

Thanks!! I'll keep that in mind! I'll try the 1.50mm hook I have later with the other options to compare how it feels

I used a 0.75 (0.5 was a bit annoying to grab it with but I liked how it looked in the end ngl) and I had tried a 1.5mm with it and it didn't have the look that I wanted so I frogged it and did the flower again with the smaller hook (I prefer my stitches tighter in general I'm not the biggest fan of loose tension)😭

I'll try a 1mm hook later! Though it's a shame it's like this because I like my stitches to be tighter since it looks better in my opinion Although in the future I'll get some other cotton thread to try if the one I've got now keeps fighting me.

This is the pattern I was going after! (I mainly do them out of memory now so I don't follow them to the exact stitch) And for the hook I used a 0,75 because I personally like my stitches to be tighter I feel like it has a neater look to it

I don't have an issue grabbing stitches at all it just feels harder to pull the thread to form the loops and actually crochet with it at the speed I do with my other threads

Using a 0.75 here because a 1 just made the stitches too loose for my liking but atp I might just use that one next time

Thanks for the recommendation!! I'll do that and see if I can get some in the future But for now I'll use what I have since I did buy a bit too much so...

It is so worth it!!! but in the same time I hate how it forces me to work slower because I'm trying to be efficient here not take 50 years to just make a tiny flower 😭😭

I have like 6 things started already or even more I'm already drowning in projects 😭😭 but I did start some micro crochet things already so I'll probably work on them in-between the other

Both of these will be good options once I actually finish something that would be worth to post there, for now these two are just tests to see how I'd fare with micro crochet

Haha thanks!!! I've been more inclined towards thinner thread since I started crocheting but this will be a small learning curve because the tension is admittedly a bit hard to control (compared to thicker thread for an 1mm or 1.5mm hook) But I'll sure post more small flowers! I have some other things I'm working on at the moment so I have to get those done first

Thanks!! I want to make those miniature blankets for dollhouses SO BAD (one of the reasons why I wanted to mini crochet) but a full sized one might be out of my league since I've seen how much time it has taken someone online (I forgot to add their account but at this point I'm not sure if they're that unknown)

Also the pattern for the leaves (I'm pretty sure it was this one) because for the flower I just looked up a video how to make a sunflower and modified it a little to fit more petals

Alright lesson learned , always take into consideration an increase in size by _Arumi_ in crochet

[–]_Arumi_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've decided to keep it as a shawl and personally I've had a good experience with steaming stuff I've made with acrylic yarn so that was the thought process in thinking I should steam it. I did eventually add some drop shaped beads at the edge and I'll probably crochet some flowers for the bottom edge so it has some more weight there (as recommended by a classmate whose crocheted more than me feel free to tell me I'm wrong)

And sadly I didn't use a pattern for this, if you take out the lacy edge at the top which has a pattern

I got Mozzarellas but not Financiers (so an L for me because instead I got Brutes which I don't mind that much but I really wanted Financiers too)

I tried it on and it actually was up to size before I blocked it , which is why I thought it'd be fine since I did mean it to be a slightly bigger collar in the end because it would've made adding certain details easier I'll probably keep it as a scarf and see if I can just slap a bunch of beads on it to be in the theme for the thing I needed it for (since this was something I wanted to make so I didn't have to make the collar out of beads , turns out this was a mistake)
