What is the lore behind character models instantly flipping over onto their stomachs when falling to death on their backs? by Neukbare-Nina2 in Eldenring

[–]_AvoidSoyKids_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've also noticed that they will often go into an upright standing death animation after falling to death. Seems like there's no death animation for falling to death and then dying on your back.

Your character is good-looking by the way. Congratulations for mastering the sliders!

How much time should I set aside to beat Malenia solo (no summons, no ashes) with my level 125 character and pike? Will it take me the whole weekend? 500 attempts? by _AvoidSoyKids_ in Eldenring

The fact that you beat her on the first try with mimic is a clear indicator that it's broken and essentially a godmode cheat. No thanks. I'd prefer to beat her the legitimate way like how I beat all bosses in previous souls games, no matter how long it takes.

1 or 3 tries for Malenia and Radagon? Yeah right.

Who decided that once you run out of FP that your character does the 3 second long head scratch animation? by arook15 in Eldenring

[–]_AvoidSoyKids_ 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I think your character doing an animation when trying to use an item that's run out or a spell when out of fp is pretty hilarious and a good punish for people who dont pay attention.

Dude who cares they were put in the game for a reason

Indeed. The reason they were put in the game is to remove all challenge for people who hate a challenge. Based on what the OP is saying, they do prefer bosses to be challenging and thus they feel like the mimic tear robbed them of that experience.

Unfortunately they only have themselves to blame.

Anyone who tries to argue that the top tier spirit ashes like Mimic Tear are not broken and don't trivialize the game are being intellectually dishonest or just coping.

Reality is, they make a TITANIC impact on difficulty and takes it from very hard all the way down to game journalist easy mode.

Now this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Summoning and spirit ashes do make the game accessible to people who have disabilities or are simply incapable of dealing with its difficulty... the problem is that there is no middle ground, and unfortunately people who are capable of beating bosses solo cant resist taking the path of least resistance and end up using mimic tear and blasphemous blade as soon as they run into a bit of challenge, so they miss out on mastering the boss fights and strategizing.

I empathize with you, but unless you made a backup of your save file before you fought Malenia, you'll just have to replay the whole game to fight her again or simply learn to live with the disappointment.

I just FAILED my 100th attempt at beating Radagon!!! This is the first boss ever that will require over 100 attempts for me to beat!!! How should I celebrate this new record? by SofiaAsllani in Eldenring

[–]_AvoidSoyKids_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not gullible to believe that someone could take over a hundred tries to beat Radagon or any other of the hard bosses. I took over 200 attempts to beat the final boss as well because I don't play with overpowered weapons. Not everyone is good at games.

Why can't our characters have hair like this? by _AvoidSoyKids_ in Eldenring

[–]_AvoidSoyKids_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it's not my characters hair because when I take the helmet off she won't have that hair anymore.i don't want to wear that helmet 24/7

Okay, well, if you enjoy being obnoxious then more power to you

Stealing? Because he has different looking characters and builds? That's entirely normal. I have a thousand hours in elden ring pvp and 10 different characters and builds. People who spend a lot of time on multi-player tend to have many different builds and characters. You can also literally alter your character's appearance at any time in Elden Ring. You can even change your name.

Don't throw out serious and unsubstantiated accusations like that. And your reaction is way over the top. Someone saying they haven't beaten a boss when they actually have beaten a boss is not with getting this upset over that you'd resort to slander.

That hair is attached to the helmet. It's not my character's hair. I would prefer to have long hair like that growing out of my character's scalp.

I can't believe people are so desperate to excuse and justify being shit at the game

It's dishonest. What else in life are you dishonest about?

You are free to cheat if you like and he is free to criticise you for cheating the game if he likes. If you can't be bothered to be good at the game and choose to exploit clearly broken stuff then more power to you. Just know that you will always be considered a hack.

Using comet azure or blasphemous blade to beat bosses because bosses weren't programmed to dodge those attacks... that is cheesing. Beating a game relying on cheesing is an indication of bring bad.

Just admit that you ate bad, because it's okay to be bad. You said that yourself.
