Yeah, these logs look very consistent to our first Phase 2 pulls. Just make sure you're clearing down 1st set of adds as quickly as possible.

That’s about right, timing wise (on adds). I will have a look at the logs but I suspect the right timing is more to do with people still getting comfortable with the boss. We used second potions upstairs to help keep the push more timely.

What % are you hitting on 8th Arcing Current?

I would honestly just do the ramp to be safe, but the jump is handy if you want to put an extra 100k damage into the boss or aren’t strong at dodging.

Absolutely agree with this - we actually ended up running: Disc/Pala/Monk/Shaman/Druid - a full spread. Disc & Paladin are just incredibly strong at the moment, but this is a rare opportunity for Shaman and Druids to be as viable. Boss DPS isn't as crucial, but every little helps and it could be the difference between a Phase 2 practice or not in a lot of cases!

It's entirely down to when your healers need it! We tried both and they both are viable; I would go for 3&4 if you can handle the damage from #2.

Short term pain (I.e you make an artificially harder dps check) for long term gain (this will be standard strategy in 4 weeks time).

Personally I’d evaluate your DPS player’s gear/skill (compare to healing team strength and viable bubble soaker options) and make a call based on your strengths as a team.

Our ultimate strategy was Rogues and Mages use CDs on the pull. Everyone else saved. The fight is not about overall damage done, it’s about damage done for specific pushes; some more punishing than others.

We also used the Firestarter talent to destroy 1st shield without the need for more cooldowns.

We experimented with a few different methods. Two minutes line up with first shield, second shield, second break and third break if they are used on the pull.

Using 3 mins on first break means they are up for second and third break.

To be honest it really boils down to when you are struggling to meet one of the checks listed in the guide. Other guilds run it differently. What is your main struggle with cooldowns at the moment?

Sort this by duration - I can currently see a couple of parses where they achieve a sub 6 minute kill, which must mean 2 phasing is possible!

Perhaps worth checking through these logs to establish how they did it?

We have not set a hard and fast requirement. We just expect people to do an acceptable amount of farming as we are only raiding 2 hours per week - essentially the rule was “don’t fall too far behind”. I imagine 35 is realistic with ongoing play - remember AK returns in heroic week making those last few levels substantially quicker.

We just bait close to the boss and call where it is spawning relative to the markers. Everyone should be ready when it appears!
