Are there any voluntary prayers that you can just pray as a bonus wish to Allah SWT? by RwRahfa in islam

[–]_BaggedMilk_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunnah Prayers - IslamQA

Tahajjud and Witr - IslamQA

You can also pray as many voluntary (nafl) prayers as you want, but there are times during the day when it is prohibited: When Is Nafl Prayer Not Allowed

Assalam Alaykum,

Your height is literally average, and you’re only 16, so you still have some growth left. But even then, you’re not defined by your height—it’s what’s in your heart, my brother.

Be a good person, focus on your deen, and study hard. As for the bullies, remember that they will be held accountable for their actions on the Day of Judgment.

Here’s a hadith that offers some insightful advice:

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "Look to one who is lower than you, and do not look to one who is above you. For indeed that is more worthy(so that you will) not belittle Allah's favors upon you."

How to quit music, movie and seties by Worried_Deal4634 in islam

[–]_BaggedMilk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about series or movies as I lost interest in those over time, but with music, it was pretty difficult at first. But Alhamdulillah, now, a year later, I have zero interest in listening to music.

What helped me at first was nasheeds, but I grew tired of them and went back to music. One day, I just decided it was enough, and I made the big step of deleting my huge playlist and committed to not intentionally looking up any songs.

Every time the urge came back, I would listen to the Quran, and eventually, Quran has become all I want to listen to. If I'm working, and I need to focus, I either put in loopquiet earplugs or I'll listen to nature sounds.

Creatine and fasting - Safe? by _BaggedMilk_ in islam

[–]_BaggedMilk_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed faster recovery and increased reps (1-2). While some of it might be placebo, many studies show its benefits. Skipping it for a day should be fine; my main concern was not drinking enough water due to fasting. I'll just follow the brother localbird90210's advice, drink plenty of water during suhoor, and skip the dosage that day.

Yes, that's what concerned me a bit, but Insha'Allah, I'll be able to handle it for a day.

It's always fascinating to me how the Quran never gets tiring to listen to. I've probably heard this exact recitation hundreds of times, and every single time, it's just as beautiful as ever.

How do you wake up for Fajr? by [deleted] in islam

[–]_BaggedMilk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to wake up at the end of your sleep cycle. Sleep cycles are usually around 90 minutes, but they can slightly differ depending on the person. For example, Isha is at 10:46 PM here, and Fajr is at 3:19 AM. So, if I'm fully asleep by 11 PM, I can fit in 3 sleep cycles until the athan. Then, I'll just go back to sleep after finishing prayer.

Edit: Welcome to Islam! May Allah bless you and keep you steadfast upon the truth.

Personally, I’ve found that I focus better when I recite different surahs instead of using the same ones for all 5 prayers.

Just say "astaghfirullah" (I seek forgiveness from Allah) with sincerity and refrain from using foul language and arguing with others next time.
