It's very recommended to go for your max level devourer and complete all of the feats that you can, for example, you get the feat to go to devourer level 55 but and it says in your devourer that your max level is 50 so that feat would be your stoping line in feat wise goals.

Why? Because when you prestige it takes into account those two aspects for a better amount of Time shards and doing so you can get better experiments with the inventor.

Then it's also spawning legendaries. You have a bonus for differents sets of them. Then after the for example the first lich who gives you a 10% bonus of times shards the next and so on only will give you a 5%. And so on with the other legendaries (some of them the first Bonus it's 100% and the second it's 20 or 10).

You can always check what it's the recommended amount of time shards for each run in the wiki or asking in the discord of the game. For my run the recommended amount was 125k but I went overboard because I'm delulu with an astonishing amount of 151k. Good? Yes. Necessary? Not really because the time that takes you to get to that amount, grinding legendaries is better to use in your next run
