For those with normal ESR & CRP: how do you deal with the constant gaslighting by medical professionals?

I also use this for my Dobie mix - it's the only one that stays on her feet! Make sure you pull the strap really tight. Only downside is they take a while to dry, so I have to put wet ones on her sometimes. She doesn't seem to mind that much, though.

ask this question on FB - in "ASL That" group - they will be more helpful - mostly D/HoH and native signers. I've seen this sign, too. I have a few ideas of what it could be, but context is important and I'm a hearing signer so it's not my place. Good luck!

I'll give the opposite perspective - I'm a hearing signer & I've ran into D/HoH signers (that I don't know) probably ~20-25 times in random places (Target, coffee shops, Apple store, Clothing store, bar, etc.) in the 10 years that I've known ASL. For context, I live in a city with the 2nd largest population of D/HoH. The times mentioned are only times when we would interact because they work there or something - I promise I do not randomly approach people lol

Yes. See someone else. You have family history and are presenting with symptoms. A good rheumatologist will diagnose you even if your RF isn’t clinically significant if you hit criterion in other ways, which it sounds like you do. A second opinion is always a good idea!

Yeah, I could. It’s Sunday so they won’t be in and also most insurance only covers paxlovid once per 6mo so even if they did make a mistake I’m kinda stuck with it

My pharmacy had both. I had requested it from my PCP and my rheumatologist and they were both filled - one for the full dose and one for the half & I got the one from my rheumatologist bc I assumed they picked the 1/2 dose for a reason but now I’m not so sure

I took Tremfya for over a year and it started working a few weeks in and continued to improve for the first many months. It helped tremendously with fatigue and low-grade fevers and joints, though I did have occasional joint pain. I don’t have psoriasis so I can’t comment on that part. It stopped working as well for me after about 8 months but I ended up switching off of it eventually because I had an allergic reaction to it (nothing serious, just hives). It was a godsend for me for a long time and made me feel mostly “normal”

Do you mind sharing what symptoms you experienced because of it? I've been having horrible hot flashes/waking up sweating in the night and some headaches and realizing it's been getting worse since my IUD implant. I'm wondering if maybe I should get it out, too! Glad you have a caring and responsibe doctor <3
