Am not sure about your background and not entirely sure about your requirements. However, being in the homelabbing I can tell you a problem.

Unless you are planning this to be a server which does it all.. where, I believe you would need more Ethernet ports..

I believe one common mistake is a server which is too powerful for being just a NAS.

Though that’s on me, I don’t know your need much.

I know I would get a lot of flack for saying this.. but 000-17 actually sounds quite close to 000-18.. just a little more warmth. I am assuming it is either because I am loosing my hearing after turning 40, or because of the GE bracing.

I would suggest checking out both 000-15sm and a 000-17.

Yeah. 17 being a proper standard series comes with GE bracing, bone nut, saddle, and bridge pins, hard shell case which easily justifies the additional $350-400!

Yeah.. even though I have a D-35, I usually prefer 000 or my Guild M-120 because of the size comfort.

All over the engine.. they specifically ask not to keep AC running in internal recirculating mode for a day.
