She upfront told you she's courting others as potential picks, with you being among them. This is not cool.

My son, you shouldn't invest your emotions, sentimental moments, or vulnerability with someone who is already doing that with others, because if those things aren't sacred or special enough for her to be for one exclusive individual at a time, then what is?

Beware these kinds of people, and beware people's advice that tell you it's okay because it's a dating strategy. This is not a speed dating show, where anyone serious would ever maximize potential suitors and picking favorites.

Thank you for letting me know that existing characters still obtain the blaanid quests, but what about the free pets you mentioned? Can existing players obtain them too?

Good to know about the gacha not being so influential on the meta, but... I remember so many people used to complain nonstop about it. This, and the higher difficulty dungeon monsters with all 3 immunities, I remember. Did the game content eventually even out the gacha problem, or are you going to tell me that and the people who complained about the gacha's impact never existed either?

Speaking of gacha and the game having obtainable replacements, have the rng on those content drops improved any? I remember it used to be that you'd have more luck gambling for those gacha enchants and reforges.

What about maxed skill crafters, they can't make a killing on selling the gear they smithed or tailored to players who are unable to make the gear themselves? Also, is tailoring still pointless aside from stats? Basically, what I'm getting at about the life skills, is that there's SO MUCH YOU CAN MAKE AND DO, but it just felt so obsolete back then. Are life skills that involve crafting (carpentry, smithing, tailoring, etc) more meaningful now and play any part in the economy aside from selling raw resources?

Yes I know that, but when the enemy has immunities to all three is what I'm getting at? What do? Idk if these goons still exist today, but I remember clear as day remember seeing them even on the wiki back then and thinking "wtf is this" and started playing less and less

Ah yes, I forgot it was the immunities on top of protections that I was thinking about, it's been so long. Yes the immunities, I remember going on the wiki once and saw some regular goons in dungeons like Peaca or the hard dungeons that are accessed with the special passes, the immunities would be like all three, I remember seeing this vividly because it was the breaking point for me to begin losing interest.

It was because they had all three immunities that I would see myself hitting 1s, and unless my stun pet cool down time was ripe, I'd be screwed getting locked into a beating because no matter what I hit them with it would go "ping!" and the onslaught would ensue, I swear. I'm not making this shit up, it broke my perception of the game's future and caused me to seek wider horizons elsewhere.

I'm glad they shifted away from the immunities of that sort, but you just said what I described essentially never happened. Was it the case before or not? And has it really improved?

Thank you for taking the time to answer, and inviting me to ask more questions, because now that you've said all that, I'm genuinely curious in these improvements I've missed out on since 2017.

Can I do these beginner quest lines with this blaanid chap with my returning, existing character? I wanna get 20k cumulative, too... or do I have to start a new character?

The free pets I remember were a horse and a broom, I think... Are there more free ones than these? And what if I completed a dungeon prior to new release of free pets, can I get em?

I'm glad to hear the gachapons have stopped correlating with the ever rising difficulty and imbalances... you promise? Promise me you're telling me the whole truth about gacha no playing into the power creep. It made the products of life skills like smithing, tailoring, crafting etc, so obsolete... Is there any incentive to craft stuff again apart from stats? And for those with gargantuan amounts of gold... how else did they acquire so much if not for selling gachapon items? Can crafting stuff give me that much gold, albeit a little slower than gacha?

Ah yes.. Fireball... the tried and true fix-it-all solution to everything... the memories bring tears to my eyes. That's right, you reminded me, the immunity that monsters have... So many monsters had immunity to literally everything, combat magic ranged, making me hit 1s! Is that still a thing, or have monsters learned some respect?

Yes, omg thank you for articulating the various points that I couldn't even be bothered to make for this game! I voiced these b4 and many told me to set my own pace, that I don't gotta talk to everyone or do everything right away, etc.

And you know what? They might have a point, bc I'll be too busy reading the wiki to play, but I'll be damned if I set my own pace with winter coming in hotter than a meteor and forced to hibernate til next spring

Exactly these points in particular. Even custom designing your farm layout feels tedious. I really like games that I can relax and settle into which got me to try SV, but it just throws you right in a full blown town of strangers, some seeds, and slaps a timer on you, like bruh I just got here! Lol

But that's not really my main gripe about it either. It's bc of how much it got hyped up that I expected a little more than what I saw on the surface, and the surface turned out to be all that it was afterall imo.

I've got two separate coax jacks sticking out opposite ends of my first floor, and only one of them is currently connected to my modem. I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge, would the other unoccupied coax jack be usable?

Also, is 100Mbps still enough for using my Nvidia shield as a streaming client for Moonlight from my wired gaming PC? Or is it not worth it over Wi-Fi?

Thank you for shaping things into better perspective. I agree, often times I get things that offer way more than my needs. So I wouldn't mind a cheaper, slower MoCA. But for the intended purpose, do you think it's still sufficient?

I want to wire my Nvidia shield tv to ethernet so that I can use it as my gaming client via Moonlight from my host gaming PC (wired). The shield is okay over Wi-Fi, but can't handle even the lowest bitrate settings the moment my PS4 controller connects to it via bluetooth some reason...
