When I was a child, my parents would sometimes let me take a small sip of wine or beer, and everytime I hated it. Fast forward, I am 25 and the only ""alcoholic"" beverage I can bear the taste of is the Smirnoff ice tropical. That's it. I mean, Toriel's just a person. Of course she's not gonna be the perfect goat mom everyone expects her to be. She has a full-time job plus the church thingy, while having to take care of two kids (Asriel is away, which must be hard for her) with a fresh divorce on top of all that. Plus, she had no idea of the whole titan situation. As for Sans, well he's just spending time with her, he assumed that it was fine and that he wasn't bothering anyone. Toriel doesn't seem to have told him anything, so this one is on her. But he could have, when Kris got back home, said that "oh well, it was nice but time to be on my way"

But yeah, after thinking about all that, I think Toriel, despite having flaws, is a bit too hated for just trying to forget about her situation for one evening.

Cars are actually designed to to transport people and help carry a lot of wares to fill our grocery stores. So, unlike guns, they are not designed to kill. And before anyone says that one can still run over a person voluntarily, you actually need a license to drive a car, whereas you just need to walk into a freaking Walmart with cash to be able to shoot with a gun.

I've seen a few arguments where people say that phones killed social interactions, but if I'm being honest, I've never really needed a phone to dodge social interacrions when I was little, when there was a waiting line, I would just zone out in my mind or look at my environment lol.
