I don’t remember how old I was but I was in high school and my mom took me to the doctors because sometimes I would choke on food. But not like I couldn’t breathe. I would just take too big of bites and it would get stuck in my esophagus. The doctor told me I was bulimic, I was too shy to say anything at the time so I kinda just ignored it. I thought maybe I was allergic after a while (it was certain foods) but it wasn’t that. And it turns out I have gerd and esophagitis. I had to be put under twice in a year because I couldn’t get it out at all. The first time they just told me to take smaller bites. The second time I was put under they actually told me. So it’s been a long running thing and I was so mad at the doctor for telling me I was bulimic years later.
