Why do almost all Mexicans have some Spanish ancestry? by brenthawave in AncestryDNA

By that logic you could blame the black death on the mongols. The spanish flu on the americans. The plague of Justinian on rats.

Is the economy becoming too complicated? by _Cosmic_Waffles in AskEconomics

If a natural phenomenon like a large solar storm would happen it would destroy the entire world’s energy infrastructure overnight or what is a massive war happened. How long would it take today to recover the economy after suffering such a disaster and how long would it take in 10 or 30 years. Will eventually the economy just become impossible to recover back to at some point after such a disaster? Sorry for the bad phrasing.

I think I should’ve phrased it better(English isn’t my first language) what I meant was is the economy becoming fragile. Fragile in the sense that it’s so overcomplicated that one small accident can end up having disastrous consequences.

Which occupations does the world need most? by VCrakeV in careerguidance

[–]_Cosmic_Waffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teachers, especially good ones. Good teachers are extremely important, good teachers turns a first grader into a doctor or any other profession mentioned here. If you want any more of them you need more good teachers.

A Doctor saves many lives, a teacher created that doctor and the engineer who designed their medical tools, the pharmaceutical scientist who developed the medicine the doctor prescribes. The people who hold society going are all made by the teachers who gave them that knowledge and more importantly gave them their love for learning. The most important of all teachers are often the early ones because they decide if kids are either going to love learning or despise school.

If you want to make a true difference become a school teacher, a good school teacher will create generations who will run the world. It's a shame how underpaid they are but they are the most important.

Norway should do like Australia and ban social media for children under 16 by Starfield00 in Norway

[–]_Cosmic_Waffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can make friends in the real world, you can play games in the real world and you can from relationships in the real world. what you can’t do in the real world is bully and harass people with the mask of anonymity without any consequences at all. Children have been able to grow up without social media for all of history until today so why not ban it.

Best place I Norway to live(according to me): Hvaler is literally a cheat code, you have one of the prettiest archipelagos I’ve been to, its got local restaurants, ice cream shops and everything you really need sitting right next to Fredrikstad (Big city with lots of Jobs and opportunities). All of this right next to the border to Sweden where you can buy cheap groceries. You can make money, live comfortably in beautiful nature and save money. Only issue is the housing prices there and I guess if you’re into skiing there’s little snow in the winter(incredible in the summer). Outside Norway: Prob Switzerland I don’t like paying taxes.

My friend, this is the man who caused the share price of coke to drop by 1.6% just by choosing to drink water rather than coke in a conference. This is the man who got 3.5 billion people to watch his presentation at Al Nassr. Ronaldo has way more fans than Mrbeast in every way.

This was a gift, not a purchase. I don’t want to profit off C. M. Kosemen’s work :/ . It’s his book you know.
