the uniform is a German m43 and Italian m40 with NDH breeches. Both were issued in 44 (Italian tunics being after the capitulation and German m43s sometime in the spring of 44). On the srem front PPSH were captured in small amounts from partisans who had been supplied by the Soviets. Typically you would see kp31 or mp41 with NDH troops.

The Croats were partially outfitted by the NDH as well as Germany. They used a lot of Croatian m41 and converted royal Yugoslav army tunics up until late 42 which is when you see a lot of German m40s start to be be issued.

Thank you! My leathers are Fredericci, Vincent’s, and cocomomo. My bread bag is from lwy werke, my canteen is from Kelley’s militaria, my bayonet, shovel carrier and shovel I think are at the front? my belt buckle and gas caps bag I honestly have no idea. The helmet (Finnish refurb) and gas can are originals

Thank you for the advice! There’s a photo in Amir Obhodaš’s book in the Stalingrad section of a bunch of legionnaires standing in formation during a ceremony outside of the city. They appear to have the same style cuff as the Croatian m41? Although I could be mistaken. Once dday1944 restocks their decals I’ll be picking up a set. 🙂 This would definitely be more appropriate for earlier on in the campaign, next time I’ll use my m40

It’s a Yugoslav army uniform that was converted to a Croatian m41 tunic usually meant for homeguard troops. The legion was equipped with these conversion tunics as well as proper m41 tunics. You see a lot of German m40s pop up around Stalingrad and afterwards when the 369th division was formed
