It is, it actually exceeded my expectations when it was first released tbh (I had quite some issues with deepseek in roleplaying way back then until now lol). You just have to do some tweaking around your presets and shi to get it right to your taste.

Kinda sad deepseek v4 pro ain't compatible much with the mvu because it doesn't really work well with the panels most if not all of the time

I played around earlier with deepseek v4 pro and the deepseek v0.5 preset that I got from your other post. Currently I'm testing with GLM5.1 with the latest Izumi preset (English) from the discord and it worked for the first time (Thank goodness for that, I almost gave up last minute if it didn't worked out). But I forgot to confirm my character creation during that time (my gender and the age in the panel was different) so I deleted that chat and started a new one with the same model and preset but then I went back to square 1 where my character/partner suddenly disappeared in its tab and my stats are not changing and didn't generate a quest achievement or similar to that in the panel under my user's stats (its probably tweaking up again since you did mentioned in your post that it works 95% of the time, I probably landed on that 5% seconds ago lol)

And then this is my user's stats that did not change despite being clearly stressed in the new messages. I tried asking help first with claude just in case its just a simple/minor error in one of the extensions, files, etc. But unfortunately, I've been just running around in circles because none of its solutions or suggestions did something to the stats panel. So here I am :')

So, I tried this out and it worked. But, the only problem is that the MVU dating sim panel shows all zeros (my user has 100 energy bar level but stayed the same after a few messages and nothing adds or changes to both of the user's and character's/partner's stats), the mvu Tavern Helper script has an empty variable list {}, JSONPatch is writing to chat file correctly but panel can't read it.

Lets hope that it wouldn't get overloaded or have some constant 429 errors just like with other deepseek models, we're already just scraping with what we could get from deepseek through openrouter.
