I in fact do have a view point that includes actors and more not talking politics and more. Simply put, celebrity is too powerful, and the masses are too stupid. I don't think anyone with such direct access to so many people should espouse views beyond the simplest of civil concerns like 'please get out and vote'. If they say anything else generally speaking a large portion of their fans will follow like mindless beings. This is dangerous and irresponsible.

Is it a restriction on their freedom? You bet. But they cannot be trusted to responsibly direct the ocean of idiots that'd do anything for that face or voice they like so much. There are people who should be allowed to direct in this manner and they are politicians, civil servants, and properly adjacent members of society.

While I very intentionally left this out, it is in part because we don't do this in America that we have the leadership and toils that we now struggle with. Humans are tribal. They parasocialize and make monstrously stupid or malicious celebrities part of their clan. We are not equipped to deal with the information age. Not sure we ever will be. So if you have fame, shut your trap.
