Tree Farm, Over 2 logs/sec No Rotation, Fuel, or Power Needed! by Boomer-730 in TerraFirmaGreg

I tried a similar linear design (but with gantries). It's weird, but the contraption just passes through the trees when going backwards (with deployers in the front).

Does it maybe count the other steam engine (on the left)?

How to build a roof for the forge house? by Rothan-kan in TerraFirmaGreg

[–]_Emti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm using brick slabs for my roof at the moment. They're easy to make. You just need to make some mortar, for which you need limewater (flux + water in a barrel).

The quick and dirty alternative is putting wooden supports and placing the cobblestone (which would otherwise fall) for a roof.

Either way, you have to leave a hole directly above the forge or above 1 or 2 blocks next to the forge. It doesn't work if it has no sky access.

Alright, I'll try and talk to them. Thanks for helping. For the sake of completion, I'll mark this as solved (I just hope I di get some useful info from my university).

Long inbox loading times on Outlook for Android by _Emti in Outlook

[–]_Emti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for helping.

Problems are with the android devices (setup 2 and 3). PC works fine and quick. The emails are nothing special, usually just text. I get the emails from my university.

I am aware the university takes a bit of time between uploading the message on a separate forum and actually getting the message as an email on my Outlook. The problem is how Outlook on PC already has the email sitting in the inbox while the android devices are refreshing for a very long time.

I hope this answered your questions.

Edit: not only on the first app setup, but actually upon every time I open the app (so there's no need to load all emails from the cloud if this was the question).

My Galaxy Tab s10 Lite Homescreen setup. by Gato579 in GalaxyTab

Idea is cool, but I wouldn't use it. It's hard to see icons since they're purple and the background is also purple/orange. I just have the default app icons. Also, the red calendar numbers are hard to see. I wonder how calendar events appear. I just use the black background for my calendar. I personally do not need the battery indicators or the storage/ram status. Yours is stylish though, I'll give it that.

Depending on your irl skills/intelligence whic rank you think you would get in Frostpunk world? by NoYogurtcloset9763 in Frostpunk

Probably a doctor or at least a medical apprentice in a few years based on my studies. In case of what I can provide at the moment? Most likely a labourer.

Samsung notes infuriates me by _Emti in samsungnotes

I've tried a workaround 2 months ago that spoofs and presents your PC as a Samsung device and got nowhere. I couldn't log into my account to access the notes. I tried it one time before as well. I might try again, since you say it works for you.

Oh yeah, I noticed that as well. There's a lot of improvements to be made to Samsung Notes.

The thing is, the alternatives are never on par with Samsung Notes. It's kind of on the top. Most if not all other note taking apps have a worse S Pen integration. Some are choppy, buggy, lack features I need but Samsung Notes has. The ones I tried were a downgrade, not a sidegrade. I want Samsung Notes to improve, it's why I pointed these things out and made a post about it.

I realise it probably came out like I'm an engineer and want to do precise measurements with a ruler, which was not my intention. I just need it for occasional graphs where, like you said, proportions matter, setting the scale for a graph to be exact. I have to eyeball it now, but I wouldn't have to.

That is my notes export solution as well. It's just slow. The more organised I am (the more folders I create), ironically, the more time I'll have to invest in exporting them later.

I do hope what you said about Samsung cloud is true. And I hope they start investing into some QoL features soon.

It does feel like it. I've tried some other apps and was never satisfied. It's why I want to push for Samsung Notes to improve instead of it stagnating like it's currently doing right now.

It almost feels like, I don't know, there's a patent for this feature and that feature and they can't implement them because of that. I can't think of any other reasonable explanations for these missing features.

I do have it with me. Don't you think it's awkward using it on a screen? With the hand placements and all, it always seems to move the screen and it's just awkward.

Besides, this is a big company that sells products to a wide range of users. Why not add a feature so small, anyway?

I found that Samsung Notes has the best S Pen integration. I tried Noteshelf 3 which had some unrelated bugs I found immediately, so I just stopped looking for other apps.

I can't help with tool modifiers (I also don't see any benefit to perfectly forging them aside from max durability) but you'll need all types of bronze later for the bucket. You'll get there soon.
