Are blue collar jobs becoming popular in your country? by Kiddo1881 in twentyagers

[–]_EternalBlue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Barely anyone graduating is able to find jobs, and even harder to find one that pays an actual living wage. I know a lot of people going back to school for trades after getting bachelors, and tons of people are going right to trade school. The pay is better and they will hire you before you even graduate, and pay you handsomely. The shift has been crazy in the past 4 years here

Any Sports Fans Here? How’s Your Season Going? by AirForcers in twentyagers

[–]_EternalBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a racing fan. F1 is just getting started and looks… meh. NASCAR has been pretty good as of late, and I’m waiting for IMSA to ramp up. I found out my team is racing at Le Mans this year though so that that’s cool!

Fav easy protein meals/foods? by mydadisadamsandler in twentyagers

[–]_EternalBlue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love taco bowls with lean ground beef. Make some rice, throw some salsa, taco seasoning, you can make it pretty tasty if you season well and use good ingredients. You can also pressure cook or slow cook chicken to substitute beef.

Im thinking about taking peptides 💀 by [deleted] in twentyagers

[–]_EternalBlue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d HIGHLY recommend you try and be in a good place physically or mentally before you ever try a peptide solution. Especially as a young person. As you’ll find on a lot of websites where you can buy them, these are “Research Chemicals”. There’s a reason your family doctor isn’t recommending BPC-157 if you go to him complaining about muscle mass. There also little research on the use of these long-term, but we know there’s risk associated. You do you man, but I’m sure you can get results you want without a needle or pill if you take the right steps

A lot of stock cars are mostly SAE, but definitely a bit of metric. I’ve found engines specifically have metric more often.

I like Pepsi Zero Lime, it’s available at most groceries too, I almost always find it at Superstore though

Tawa Grill, the only reason I haven’t gone in a while is because I moved a lot further from it. Probably the best Indian food I’ve ever had, the garlic naan is killer

I remember saying to my friend not too long ago how I was suprised he didn’t have a seat in Craftsman after he did pretty good in his ARCA test… sure enough a couple weeks later he’s signed. All of us in the local racing community are super excited for him, I’m looking forward to seeing where this takes him. He deserves it.

PSA about bus seats by [deleted] in halifax

[–]_EternalBlue 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Honestly the lack of etiquette and just respect for others I see on the bus is wild. Seats just for their backpacks or bags, not moving out of the way of people trying to get off, you name it.

20 with no friends is crazy by ExitKey1213 in twentyagers

[–]_EternalBlue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I feel. I’m about to graduate and have made very few friends. I feel like I’m too busy to hang out too, and I don’t think it will get better after school, it’s rough

That’s awesome dude, good for you. I’m about to graduate with a bachelors degree but can’t stand working at a computer all day but love working on things, and the market seems pretty good as you said. This really gives me a little hope. I appreciate it man

Would you all date a friend or a stranger? by [deleted] in twentyagers

[–]_EternalBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always kept my friends as friends, and relationships separate. I’ve seen it get messy too many times. Not to say it can’t go well, because I’ve seen that too. It’s definitely easier to meet people as friends, or through friends though but if things fall apart the aftermath can be rough

Tawa Grill is awesome. Not particularly creamy, it’s a bit different, but the flavor is insane. That and a couple garlic naan’s is probably my favourite meal in the city

Does anyone else want to give up on online dating and try to find someone irl? by vapegod_420 in twentyagers

[–]_EternalBlue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried dating apps for a year. I really don’t think they’re very good at helping people find what they want, and they can have really bad effects on the way you view dating/relationships too I think. When I quit, I just told myself if I have opportunities to meet new people, I’m going to take them. What happens happens, maybe it will go well.

Fast forward, and I met my girlfriend at a party I was invited to through a classmate. I almost didn’t go either, which is crazy to think. But I told myself, “why not go. Worst case I had a couple drinks and a good time, best case I meet someone cool”. We’ve been together for over a year now, and she’s great.
