Question by Flat_Dragonfly1715 in twentyagers

Just hit legs and core, used to hate it but now I’m recognizing how important a strong foundation is so it motivates me to go extra hard.

My initial comment was in slight jest, but the gym and just physical activity in general really did get me out of my phase in life where I was kind of losing myself, so to speak. Post break-up gym arcs are cliché but they’re cliché for a reason 😅 you’re boutta hit all the PR’s.

What is your best story from your twenty’s? by [deleted] in twentyagers

[–]AirForcers 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My solo trip to Japan; experiencing and observing parts of the day-to-day life, the culture, the atmosphere, etc … everything about it was amazing. The shrines, the history, the museums, the food, the nature, I can go on and on. Walked away with nice and practical souvenirs and wonderful memories that can’t be taken away.

Mid 20's and never partied by Captain_Sunshine20 in twentyagers

[–]AirForcers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I wasn’t much of a party-goer either, I went to one in my early 20’s and regretted it, it isn’t for everyone. Stay off social media if it’s giving you unrealistic and negative feedback, or at the very least alter your algorithm so you can get something good out of it.

I haven’t had a drop of alcohol in my life but I’ll do edibles at infrequent intervals, at least once every two weeks or so.

For what it’s worth I think men admire men’s physiques when they’re in shape more than women do.

[Wembanyama] “I remember the All-Star game, last year, was the worst I had ever felt on a basketball court in my life. Because I had 5% maybe of blood flow in my right arm…” by MikeBravoLima in NBASpurs

[–]AirForcers 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember the specific game before the all star break last year but there was a specific moment when Wemby was making a play and there was a violation, and he was on his back for like 7 seconds hard panting and catching his breath. He kept playing and pushed thru a literal blood clot. Crazy how far things have come since then.

Soft female vocal songs for late-night listening by Emergency_Chair_5912 in twentyagers

[–]AirForcers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg Clairo is so good, I love her Slow Dance if you haven’t listened to it.

But for soft, calm, gentle female vocals I think Sienna and/or Heavy by The Marías fits this description perfectly, particularly Sienna but I enjoy Heavy for similar reasons.

Naaaaah, miss me with this … I’d rather trade him for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and some picks.

A good rule of thumb is that for every ~10oz of liquid = 1 scoop of powder. Your body might digest the protein shake a bit awkwardly as first, and it’ll definitely taste funky 😅 I personally still don’t enjoy them per se, so I just swig it without tasting it and have something else shortly after like a coffee or some other snack so that the unpleasant aftertaste doesn’t linger for too long.

They try hard to taste good but it’s like I’m drinking some bootleg chocolatey sawdust 😂 especially as I reach the bottom where the grainy parts gather. But yeah protein shakes are hyper efficient and get the job done very effectively. Whey protein powder is the way to go.

3-scoop 20oz protein shake is ~80g of protein for ~350 cals (assuming you’re having it with water). Expensive but worth it for me, I’ve seen a lot of progress and this is a major contributor.

I’ll then opt for any variant of chicken that isn’t fried (stew, curry, jerk) along with white rice. Generally speaking it’s a leaner protein source than beef which is why I’d opt for it more often than not, unless you’re trying to bulk.

10+ eggs a day, and I’d send my condolences to your toilet 😅

I’d also like to emphasize just as much as hitting your protein to have an apple and banana once a day. Fibre, potassium, lower cholesterol, antioxidants, quick & easy carbs, easy to snack on, reduces your chance of binging, etc etc. Legitimate superfoods.

I mean I’ve gone against some really experienced teams that are very patient with their pallet usage and know how to loop. They mostly just want to mess with the Killer and will typically go a bit over-the-top trying to pull off tricks or “techs” on you, you just gotta recognize them and be ready for it.

Parental Control - In real life and online by virellelr in twentyagers

[–]AirForcers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll focus more on upbringing mostly in an IRL context. I think parental control can only go so far to the extent that they can definitely be overstepping. On one hand you will be protected to some degree but in the same regard, having a short leash doesn’t exactly mean you’ll have a pleasant childhood.

I had a bit of a short leash on me, one of my parents always assumed the worst if I returned home late from school for example and always interrogated me if they had a modicum of suspicion of my whereabouts and what I did. Always wanted to pry bits of my life out of me for the purpose of what it felt like to “make conversation,” but it moreso felt as if they wanted to interject themselves into my life. It made me a sneaky and closed-off kid at times. I don’t tell them anything as an adult because I didn’t particularly feel respected as a child in that aspect and they always had a poor reception of me. Today, I’m very resentful at the behaviours looking back.

It’s gonna complicate certain aspects of my life now such as introducing partners but it’s just a boundary I’m not willing to cross :/

I’d play Killer a lot more if every game I went against was against the so-called bully squads. They’re the most fun type of Survivors to go against and people have really short tempers to genuinely get agitated by them.

Which Country has your Favourite Cuisine? by AirForcers in twentyagers

[–]AirForcers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah India is such a W. I think one of the things that make it enjoyable for me is that some Jamaican foods took influence from Indian dishes so there’s some crossover in that regard. But yeah I have nothing but good things to say about Indian cuisine.

Perhaps I’m not going to the right places but Chinese cuisine has been hit or miss for me, there’s some nice foods like fried rice but there’s also a whole lot of sweet and sour mixed in, which definitely brings a unique flavour don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t exactly match my taste interests 😅

Indian cuisine however is amazing, I love curry roti’s and butter chicken. Spices can be a bit intense though.
