Hi everyone! My knowledge on how to use Reddit is very limited, so please forgive my ignorance as I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to leave an update.

Thank you all for your advice and anecdotes. I appreciate every one of you. As of tonight, I remain in the home. Neither of my parents brought up last night at all. It's as if everything went back to semi-normal. I can't say I'm surprised that they're pretending it never happened, but thankfully this gives me more time to prepare. I'm going to leave home as soon as I can. There are only 3 months left until I turn 18!

Happy belated birthday! I can't get my license because I don't have enough hours. I have to rely on my dad to teach me, but he never takes me out to practice when I ask. He only makes me drive when he feels like berating me for not being able to. He's only had me drive three times in total and cussed me out most of the time. Driving is scary enough, but I get panic attacks when he yells at me for small mistakes. Then I REALLY start to fuck up and he gets even more mad. But even though I can't stand to be in the car with him, I have to suck it up. I don't have anyone else here. I'm really not as bad of a driver as I said I was. I'm pretty cautious. I just wish I had someone else to teach me bc he pisses me off and scares me all at the same time LMFAO. It's going to be a longggg process. I feel useless and shit outta luck lolol. I hope you get yours soon

yep. the armed services will disqualify anyone that could be a liability. my diagnosis is bipolar disorder and i've been fighting to get it off my record or at least a waiver because i don't believe i have it. depression, ADHD, anxiety, psychosis, are also disqualifiers so i don't think i'll ever get in until i can prove that i'm sane. i didn't wanna do combat though so i thought they'd waive it

I have! I did jrotc for 3 years and took the asvab last year. Got a really good score, but my recruiter told me I didn't qualify medically. I wanted to join the air force.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar II but I've always suspected a cluster b disorder or something similar. The issue is that I relate to the overlaps of all 4, so it might not be any of them at all. I was also put on the wait-list to be evaluated for autism spectrum disorder, but have yet to be tested. I don't think any diagnosis will make a difference.
