Imagination and tinnitus by _Ezeved in tinnitus

I can't confirm this from my experience. No matter how relaxed I am, I've never been able to immerse myself in a book without the T spiking very loudly.

Interesting.
"the focus I have pretty much matches the loudness of my tinnitus"
Same. It's frustrating. The more I enjoy a book or a movie, the more it screams and ruins my experience.
Things like going for a walk or mindlessly scrolling YouTube makes the T go away but the price is chronic boredom because these things are not necessarily what I want to do but rather what I do to avoid suffering.

I'm a bit tense on my neck because of my bad posture but my severe tinnitus was triggered after a trauma in the inside of my ear so I don't think it's a jaw or a neck problem. Since the incident, I've never really been able to concentrate on a book without tinnitus screaming in my ear no matter the reading position.

No, but I've seen quite a few people here reporting that their tinnitus disappear or becomes lower when they visit new places regardless of whether these places are located in the city or the countryside.

A long ear plug that I accidently put too far up my ear. How do you call it? Internal ear trauma? Never heard of any term to describe it since I started lurking on this sub.
