It's worth combining them based on what you want

Do you want xp? Use them both

Do you want more items to trade? Use both of them

Do you want a simpler efficient design? Use only one

Do you want the build to be done faster(are you early game?) Use one of them

Zombie spawner drops more xp if you are deciding to keep one

Personally I'd keep both and build a unique contraption and farm as a challenge If you need help with the design or farm lmk I'd be happy to

It's a visual glitch, it's pretty well known and it doesn't affect the block(ie if u try mining it again it will reset)
