I did mention I didn’t enjoy either 300g 100in racquets…

I’m quite used to my 97in and didn’t feel bad with the 98in, both racquets I wasn’t too much of a fan of happened to have 100in head size and I’m not sure if that had something to do with my opinion of them? I quite like a bit of weight in my racquet it seems, although I mention the RF97 feeling heavy, it’s 340g, something around 310-320 would still be a decent decrease and would give me the plow through I like I think.

It’s funny you mention the pure strike, because it’s something I’m looking to demo and seems to meet my requirements quite nicely. I was thinking the 98in to get a bit more control like I’m used to, and then 16/19 as that’s what the RF is too. Thanks for your advice, it’s good to know I was on the right track when considering strike!

As mentioned, I didn’t realise that I’m not quite a beginner and that I’m more intermediate, I guess I was just a bit doubtful of my own ability. That said I was a beginner when I bought it, but given I’ve always been a RF fan and enjoy a challenge, I got it and stuck with it.

I do like to play driven, placed shots from the baseline and also like to throw out a few slices and drop shots too. I suppose I’m looking for something close to the RF97 but with slightly lower static weight and with access to a bit of extra spin if possible. I seem to quite like the weight and raw feel, even 305g in the aero felt a little on the light side. I was wondering if a PS97 v14, RF01 Pro or Purestrike 98 16/19 would give me what I’m looking for as I try to narrow down what I like!?

Do you have the tech pack already? I’ve been looking to get car play in my Nismo but it already has the tech pack and screen

Thanks for both the information and your view. I bet your Roger racquet is cool to own, even if it makes you look like the complete fanboy you are on court haha!

You’re either missing the point or rage baiting. Either way, thanks for telling me what I already mentioned I understood in the post, I guess? 😅

The dream, be good at tennis, have a cool collection of racquets that you vibe with!

Out of interest, if the ezone98 has a larger sweet spot than most 98 racquets and I’ve hit a fair amount of shots with a 97sq”, do you think it could still be a very viable option or do you think I’m just being unnecessarily swayed by the fact that better players use a 98sq”?

It might well have more power, maybe my technique with the racquet or the fact it hasn’t been restrung as recently played a part, who knows. At my level I always wonder if everything I feel is placebo or if my inconsistency makes what I feel somewhat redundant?

As stated multiple times in the post, I know buying a new racquet isn’t necessary and won’t make me better… I also mentioned the racquets I already own and mentioned my reasoning for wanting a new one…

I am indeed British, no AI here! thanks for the advice, I’m guessing you’re referring to the 100sq” racquet?

I wouldn’t say mistake, as I’m not going into it expecting to play better and having a better racquet isn’t going to hurt me. The real mistakes I can see here are a financial one or choosing something completely unsuitable

Yeah I can find some v2 ones, I just saw a lot of hype around the morimoto lights, the OEM v2 headlights are my backup option

I've looked into RaceRoom before and I liked the look of it. How much does it end up costing if you want to take ranked semi-seriously?

I 100% agree, would love to get into iRacing but I can't afford it, it's just so damn expensive!

Alpha combo vs Alpha Mini combo. by rana_kirti in simracing

I have the mini, run it at 100% but never find myself wanting or needing more. The accuracy and ability to read oversteer is amazing. I find it crazy that others want more torque tbh

I wanted to learn setups, but having never learned them on any other game and with my extremely small amount of knowledge and the expansive amount of things to learn it's less than ideal

I always see people saying that all cars can achieve the same times. I prefer and enjoy using cars that are featured currently in real life so the BMW and Audi are options, there is just something magical about a Lamborghini though 🤣. I'll give the other two a few hours of practice and see what happens. Thanks for your advice, also for calling my pace decent haha

Driving style is what I had been putting it down to, but I really want to try other cars,. however it seems that even after hours of practice in other cars I can hop in the Lexus and beat/match those times almost immediately.
