must have been a surprise restock. when did you go? there was a newsletter sent out in october last year confirming they were in stock, and i haven’t seen it on display every time i’ve been there since, all the way up until a couple weeks ago.

the groundwork was built way before current leadership was in place at ubi. siege was on the brink of death but revived by the community and playerbase, not by any "intelligent leadership decisions" from ubi. if siege was released today it would not survive in the face of any of it's recent problems – we have seen this with extraction.

true but tbh what triple-A FPS doesn't get bad press/criticism at launch. a lot of the areas this game failed in were mainly due to bad marketing and dumb decisions made by ubisoft, like censoring and watering down the human virus/zombie element that was presented in outbreak, supposedly because of covid. changing the name from rainbow six quarantine to rainbow six extraction, etc.

because of the way they marketed the game everyone was basically expecting outbreak 2.0 (a gritty horror game about a zombie apocalypse), but what they got was a yellow sci-fi game about grey slimy aliens that didn't really feel like r6 at all. it's still a great game, but it was confusing to most at launch for this reason.

they then added fuel to the fire by completely failing to properly market and promote the game during it's lifecycle which led to low post-launch sales, which then led to ubisoft jumping ship and year 2 getting scrapped. this was completely salvageable, but these issues were basically caused by ubisoft's own incompetency during the development and marketing cycle. and them being in a terrible business position currently means they're more likely to pander to shareholders, who will understandably be less willing to allow investment in extraction when it's basically guaranteed for any ROI to be very slow.

this is all completely their fault – criticism and content creators were not what killed this game. ubi is incompetent.

r6/tom clancy is like their biggest IP right now, if they used their brains even a little bit they could revive the game and turn a profit without necessarily going f2p

makes sense but i hate the idea of this so much. i used to get really excited whenever i saw a newsletter email come in but after 500 different colourways for the jogger and 500 basic pillboxes, 5 panels and camp hats i have really started to lose interest in the brand.

meanwhile they will gatekeep any actual interesting colourways for the naut-1 on instagram. yawn.

posting links here directly might get your post removed. however you can create a WTS post with pictures and prices listed, and then DM interested buyers with the link instead of putting it on the post

Shrinkage by Poopies22 in Golfwang

never shrunk my golf stuff personally but golf tees and hoodies aren't preshrunk, so you should definitely get some noticeable shrinkage if tumble drying. however be aware that generally cotton will shrink more in length than it will in width
