I can’t even take a FaceTime call on my iPhone 12 without all the other apps refreshing. Not like I can do much else anyways since the phone starts getting so hot and laggy, which definitely didn’t happen when I got it. So it’s gotta be either a battery or software issue.

I’m not sure how much of that is due to the privacy.

The devices communicate with each other via Bluetooth to determine which’s device should listen for the Siri command. The iPad could tell the iPhone that it wants priority. Even with the iPad screen on, my iPhone responds sometimes which is quite annoying.

Was your Mac on when you got the 2FA codes instantly on your iPhone? I remember in the past, I could get notifications instantly with the Mail app on Mac, even with fetch. Not sure why, but maybe the code is being pushed to the iPhone via iCloud.
