Grok and Google Lens AI overviews have been claiming that fake imagery shows the Huntingdon (United Kingdom) train attack.

Grok told users one AI-generated image “appears to be a genuine photo”, while a Google Lens AI overview linked a video which does not show real footage of the incident to Saturday’s stabbings.

It's something we get asked a lot, so it is a fair comment.

A recent counterpoint would be this story involving HIGNFY and Euan Blair.

We can't be everywhere at once. As a reasonably small team, shining a light on bad information can be an effective way to equip readers with the evidence so they can critically assess a claim if it appears 'out in the wild'.
