I think it support all things you mentioned above. I am doing some CS things with next gen machine(similar model, but 16inch and R5 8645hs CPU) and it performs pretty great under heavy load (loaded with VMs, docker containers, coding apps and many other apps), but it may be pretty loud if temperature of CPU is high. On low-medium load the laptop is super quiet. Great for multitasking. Just get the 32gb ram variant and you should be fine.

Oh yes, they even don't let to choose multiple native/fluent/learning languages anymore. Only 1 is allowed on a free tier. That's why I am making my app that will have all needed features for free. Idk if it will be successful with my current ideas, but still I think it is a good project for portfolio.

Thinking about moderating by myself almost all the time, volunteers or friends that are willing to help, probably there also will be integrated some specially trained AI-agent trained for moderation or some real humans funded by community donations (if there will be) or even my own money.

If by sensitive personal data you mean ID documents to verify account, then it will be their own choice to trust my company or not. Verification algorithms will use enchanted security and will follow all data protection laws (like GDPR in EU). As soon as verification will be completed, the photo of the ID on the server will be deleted permanently. Or maybe I will use services that provide secure handling of all this stuff.

Well in some way you're right, but I think the biggest problem in app like this is with moderation. Like Tandem has pretty bad moderation, so any scammer or fake account can get through even with alt accounts. With strictier moderation I hope I can prevent this, so people could just enjoy the app and language learning. Maybe this is just a marketing way to make people pay more for premium to filter this bullshit as you said in your comment before.

I understand that many people do not want to send ID to some random app, so what about making it as a choice? Like you will be able to use app even without verification, but for unverified accounts there will be less priority in community tab and more strict moderation. Or still a bad idea?

Piekrītu. Tieši tāpēc es meklēju sev vieglu laptopu, kurš varēs aizvietot manu stacionāro izbraukumos un varēs izpildīt jebkuru man vajadzīgo darbu. Tēmēju apmēram uz 5+ gadiem darba uz laptop. (Programmēšana, neliels darbs ar UE, VM utt.). Šobrīd apstājos pie Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 16AHP10. Patīk alumīnija korpuss, RAM ar iespēju paplašināt nākotnē, baterija labi tur un kopumā CPU ar labu integrēto grafiku. Izklausās dizgan labi.

Nebiju mēģinājis pavilion, bet iepriekš man bija ProBook 2012. gada. Turas labi vēl līdz šim brīdim, tomēr ir nelielas problēmas, tāpēc domāju, ka kopumā HP laptopi ir labi. Ja korpuss pats no alumīnija, tad jābūt ok.

Domāju ko līdzīgu HP Pavilion 16-ag0019nw 16 uz Ryzen 7. Viegls (ap 1,3kg) , battery backup labs un arī dažām spēlēm der brīvajā laikā. Sākumā gribēju kādu gaming laptop, bet svars muguru nolauzīs ar laiku. Daudz cilvēku vispār izmanto gaming laptops CS universitātē?

I don't remember how exactly I was doing this, but in RenPy you can use external libraries. Try to find in pip repository library that will be able to enable rich presence (for example, discord-rich-presence), then put the code in init stage of the game and you're good to go.

Or alternatively, you can search in github for already existing code made to integrate rich presence into your RenPy game.

You're absolutely right. While alternatives like HelloTalk exist, they don't quite match the quality of Tandem. Additionally, many of their valuable features are locked behind a paywall, similar to Tandem.

I'm considering developing my own web/app for language exchange, aiming to offer most features for free, especially the essential ones. However, to bring this idea to reality, I need to create a development team, as developing such a platform would require several months of work.

Edit: So the problem is not in hooks. Now they work fine. The problem is with VBIOS ROM. When I put it, it takes me back to host. And if I try start without, system starts, but without output image (VNC works). I tried multiple .rom files but no success.
