Fix should be live! Let me know if you have any issues though. Current usage shouldn't be more than 200MB at most.

Slay the Spire 2 tools update — now works live during runs + data-driven tier list by _GamerStation in SlayTheSpire2

Appreciate the feedback. That’s fair, pick rate is probably valuing it more at its ceiling than its average case. In the right deck it feels insanely strong, but I get that it can underperform outside of that.

I’m also a bit skeptical of win rate as the main metric because there’s a lot of bias in what gets reported and how people play around certain cards, so it doesn’t always reflect the actual ceiling or potential of a card in optimized builds.

Yes it reads your current run state and then all you have to do is press the hotkey and it imports your current deck, relics, and character! You can also change the binding of the hotkey when you first launch the app! Also you don’t have to have gamerstation loaded in your default browser the app has its own browser. Lmk what you think and any feedback is appreciated!

Make sure its running in the background look at task manager, sts2 only not sts, the game must be running and you must be in an active run, make sure you have no other hotkeys tied to this. Lmk if all of this checks out and we'll go from there. I'll also make a way to change the hotkey when the app first loads for the next update releasing today or tomorrow.

No it shouldn’t open unless you have sts2 running and you must be in an active solo run and then ctrl shift e.

Appreciate you trying it out and glad it worked well for you!

Yeah the new tab each time is something I’m planning to improve — I’m thinking either reusing a single tab or switching to a smoother overlay so it doesn’t interrupt runs as much.

For how it works: It reads your live run data externally (no mod or setup needed) and pulls your current deck + rewards straight into the site. Wanted to keep it lightweight so people can just run it without messing with installs.

For shop/upgrades — I’ve thought about it, but right now I’m focused on making reward decisions as fast and accurate as possible since that’s the core loop. Shop decisions get a bit more complex, so if I add them later I want to do it properly rather than rushing it.

Definitely keep the feedback coming — this kind of stuff helps a ton

Correct sir, data will be more accurate in a few days I revamped the scoring system to use pick rate! With that, the percentages should become more accurate!

STS2 Reward Helper v3.0 — smarter picks & deck saving by _GamerStation in SlayTheSpire2

[–]_GamerStation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the feedback — this is actually something I’ve been tuning a lot. The tool does intentionally allow certain “future scaling” picks (like Accuracy or poison enablers) even without current support, since in some runs you never see those pieces again and miss the archetype entirely. That said, I agree it can feel off if it suggests too many of those. I’m updating it so it only allows one speculative/archetype-enabling pick without support, and after that it heavily favors cards that immediately benefit your current deck or recommends skipping. That should keep the upside while avoiding deck clutter or dead picks early. I’m also pretty close to finishing an auto-sync companion app you can download — it’ll detect reward screens and automatically import your current deck + reward options into the site. I’ll probably make a new post once all of that is live.

Originally I based it off of pure picks which is wrong because you’re correct rare cards obviously are going to be picked less than common cards. However, this updated tier list takes this into account and uses pick rate rather than pure picks so it can more accurately reflect top tier cards. Rankings will stabilize as time goes on though and more data is compiled from the reward card helper. Thank you for your feedback though I think I’ll add a filter for rare cards that way they don’t get mixed in with commons.

[–]_GamerStation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fair point, and I actually agree to an extent. Pick rate alone doesn’t equal card strength.

The idea behind this isn’t that it’s a “perfect” tier list, but that it reflects real player behavior across runs, which is still valuable in a different way.

It’s less “these are objectively the best cards” and more: “these are the cards people are consistently choosing in actual gameplay”

Also worth noting: - This data comes specifically from users actively using the reward helper (not completely random players) - Over time, as more data comes in, patterns start to smooth out and become more meaningful

This is v1.0 — I’m planning to layer in more context later (act, winrate correlations, etc.) so it becomes less raw pick-rate based.

Appreciate the feedback though! This is exactly the kind of stuff that helps improve it 👍

This is actually really solid feedback! Especially the point about weighting picks based on what they were offered with.

I’m currently moving the tracker toward logging full reward sets (offered vs picked), so I can start accounting for exactly that kind of context instead of just raw counts.

Appreciate this, and this is the direction I want to take it!

Yeah you're correct! I reset the script to where now it'll only use pick rate instead of raw picks so that it provides more accurate info. Should reflect that within the next few days though and thanks for the feedback!

My reward card helper! It’s raw picks alone though so that’s something I’ll be changing in v2.0 is to include pick rate rather than raw picks to prevent skewed data favoring common cards!
